You're not missing much. The game has died already just like this one. To be fair it was actually really fun and enjoyable when it was first released in 2016. But then they added nonsense like punishing players who quit a battle.

Anyone can compete? How can somebody compete with a player in a dictator that somehow has triple drugs on all the time and heals every 5 seconds so is basically indestructible dropping nukes everywhere while my thunder m1 does 55 damage to the rear of the tank. M1 thunder can do 505 - 705 damage, so why does it not actually do that? I get protections on paints but for gods sake 55 damage? There is no way to compete. It just seems that no matter what I do I barely dent the enemy yet they vaporize me with triple drugs and m3 turrets and hulls. This game has literally zero balance in it. No wonder Tanki has nosedived in recent years.

BuT gAmE iS tEn YeArS oLd!!11!! Nonsense argument. So many old if not older games are doing better. I log on at any time and there is never more than 100 battles on, and all of them are taxed with pro battle pass. Its completely undeniable that this game has been hemorrhaging huge amounts of players in the last 3-4 years. But devs don't want to hear it and say to themselves its because they aren't advertising much. Yeah no, devs are choking this game with really poor updates and immense monetisation of every aspect of this game and they don't want to let go for whatever reason.

Why you should accept the fact that this game is dead and move on

Lol saying 2015 was the prime of this game. Yes it was good back then but nothing will ever beat the 2011-2013 era. The game was booming. They had just welcomed their 15,000,000th player. Can you imagine that? 15 million players dwindling down to what? 500-1000 players on a good day?( and that's just the one server now as RU and EN players are mixed). I remember when Tanki had 15-20 separate servers running at the same time, EN1 and EN2 were the go-to servers. Shaft had been just released, the hype around that was unreal. The game was genuinely fun to play because there was only hulls, turrets and 5 supplies and a plethora of memorable maps. Now there is all this bs like overdrive and drones etc. And what is with the pro battle pass? Why do I have to pay to play? Is it some kind of tax? Just so Tanki devs can squeeze a bit more money out of their dead player base? Every battle is a pro battle these days (and there aren't that many battles to begin with) so why have it at all? This game is embedded in my memory since I started playing in 2010/2011 and its sad to see it crushed so hard by the devs. I stopped playing for good in summer 2018 because the magnum meta was boring. I missed the days of sniping with railgun on madness, I miss the good old maps like fort knox and I miss the original uniqueness that this game offered back in the day. Now I check on forums to see if there is any glimmer of hope but devs just don't seem to understand and are too focused on their simulations on earning as much money as possible. There was some hope with Tanki X as when I played an early release of it it seemed like it was promising. And most importantly it relighted my initial excitement I felt when Tanki 2.0 was announced all those years ago because it was postponed indefinitely. However their devs somehow botched that too and it seems these games are really at the end of their lives. Devs have been so focused on pushing players to buy things that they haven't bothered to take a step back and see that their game is all but dead, and they're the ones who killed it. -
They leave because they see how terrible the balance is and that devs only care for their "simulations"

I doubt there is 1000 players on right now.

What future? This game is dead. 2015 was the last time I saw a significant amount of players. Now with so much P2W garbage thrown at players no wonder they are leaving. Devs can't see past their money making simulations and understand this game has been ruined. Its at the end of its life cycle. Lol what happened devs? In 2013 their was over 10 servers, all of them almost full. But now their is only one common server where 70%-80% of the battles are useless parkour. This game started going downhill from the rebalance (2012). And ever since devs have taken away what was so special and unique about this game. I believe, even with advertisement and their simulations they won't be able to revive this game. I think it will be fully deserted by 2020 save for a few hardcore buyers.

Firebird is used everywhere now. That afterburn is very strong. Too strong in fact.

They are not answering because they are to busy making formulas and simulations on how to make the most money from its dwindling player base. :D :D :D :D

Useless XT skin? Whatever... -_-
-
Saw a friend play it in early 2011. The game really has gone downhill. I miss old tanki.

If you had all the power in tanki, what would you do with it?

Go back to 2012 Tanki. No rebalance, no P2W, no drones, containers, overdrive. -
Should be opposite imo. With max dmg at long range magnum players will be encouraged even more to camp at the back of the map.
-
Same. Nothing is less fun than playing against a magnum "pro" on highway. They just sit behind all the buildings and somehow magically land every shot for full dmg. And they end up with a 200 k/d ratio.
