XP buying was added, if im not mistaking, alongside the new ranks and weapon unlocking system, in the Rebalance update. People were complaining about the unfairness of buyers actually "buying" their rank and the gameplay issues that Generalissimo with the actual in-game experience of a 2nd Lieutenant could have caused. Some Generalissimo you see here wouldn't have gotten to that rank even today. XP buying also bypassed the new rank limitations (in a much better way than Kits if you ask me), making them pretty much useless. Buyers were given the fair advantage to leave the lower ranks and fight with proper equipment against peers (in garage, but not in experience) as soon as possible, pretty good deal imho, aside from the moral implication and blablabla muh fairness. Kits are way worse than that.

I guess that, on the long run, new ranks (and new ranks limitations) were not the smartest choices in term of marketing, seeing the implementation of all these new Kits and Microupgrades. To be honest I was quite surprised when I saw Tanki preventing buyers from getting a M3 combo at WO4. Kits and "Unfair" Kits were to be expected.

Shaft is broken, please fix the bug, silence is unplayable (implying it was ever playable) with noobs and whatnot running around with M0 Shaft oneshotting drugged M3 mammoths. I admit is fun to make them druggers ragequit, but it's still bad and should be patched asap.

When I stop being conservative about my game it means it's not my game anymore: this is a cool update for me, but it's definitely not good for most people who planned out their purchase according to old stats. I would be quite angry if my M3 X and M3 Y got changed under my nose after all the stuff I've been through to get them, paying of them or not. I think refund is a courtesy to be done, rollback is not need. Then again I guess sales dudes will place a ducking huge discount for the new year or something to get player to shut up. Like last year. On the update itself: Some tanks feel way to responsive to turns, and fast as hell. Plus the turning point is not on the "front wheels" but kind of in the middle, so most of the time you dont get the angle right while changing direction. It all goes to them not feeling "on the ground", it's like they are skating on ice, which sure makes things interesting an cool (I expect not to be bored for at least 1 week), but if it was "physics realism" that you were seeking then you didn't get it right, tanks are going all over the place. Some things are spot on, like relative weight when pushing tanks (Mammoth > Titan it should be, but whatever) and stability while landing a jump. It's an interesting update overall, a breath of fresh hair in this once entertaining game for some people.

Generalissimos sure can be elitist, it's the last rank af the game plus they have M3 everything. They don't have the right to insult lower ranks though, and if they get caught they will be banned like everyone else. Report blablabla... you know how it is. Protip: don't join generalissimos battles. Non-NS are mostly drugfest, and you cannot compete with them druggers, in NS you (low ranks) will be seriously disrupting the gameplay.

Conspiracy theory ahead, you may go for the tl;dr version if you don't feel like reading. What's funny about this update is that Update 186 is clearly a direct consequence, and counter, of the (once) new rank, price, and fund system brought in by rebalance. Devs plan didn't go as they wanted, and now they are trying to patch things up, of course disrupting the gameplay that was forced in by them. But what's the problem? Money, it is. Devs cut off a great source of money income with the changes on rank, fund and price: impatient noobs. Back in the days I could see lots of WO5 with M3 Thunder Viking + 12k paint (heck, I was one of them too) and by the red stars ranks everyone had at least 1 M3 combination and a decent paint. Milking impatient noobs on free-2-play is browser games' national sport after all. But now those impatient noobs are no more. Rebalance made the casual and non-buyer playerbase way more attentive and sensible about upgrades than it was in the past. Now earning an M2 weapon is serious business, not only for the price (non buyers issue) but also because of the rank limitation (impatient noob issue). "Should I upgrade this or wait and rank up for that?" "Crap, I dont have the rank to get this" and so on. Discounts came in to save the day for most people, and for devs too, but they are a clear example of Tanki struggling to get money. Discount are made to get the casual and non-buyer playerbase, which is the greatest faction in Tanki I guess, to spend more (the first) or to actually spend money (the latter). Also add that no sensible man would buy without Double Crystals Card and you get the reason behind the insane amount, and worth, of discount after rebalance. Before RB every year had at best 3 discount with 25%, if a recall correctly, then soon after RB a 30% came in as the highest % ever, and about a month ago we had a general discount of 50%, with lots of others in the process. If they are not begging for money then I don't know what it is. All the changes that were made for the good of the community were actually kind of risky for the company, and now they are taking back part of them with Kits bypassing rank limitations, for the joy of impatient noobs all over the world. And once again the good old non-buyer will experience first hand a gameplay change for the worst, and will have to deal with it. There might not be so many impatient noobs right now who would pay 300k for an OP combination, just try not to find one in a non-NS battle. Conspiracy theory over. tl;dr Tanki hypocrisy, buy crystal pls, non-buyers be suffering. Nothing new under the sun. Personally speaking I don't think I will see a great change on my weekend Tanki activity. Just more noobs with pro equipment, but at my level M3 weapons and tanks are not enough to win. I can't say the same for lower ranks though.

With the new Physics update stats may be left unchanged, but at least 50% of the Tanki gameplay is made by tanks' movements. And that will all change. Asking for a refund after this update doesn't seem too unreasonable for me. This won't be a minor update, and everyone will be affected by it. Some developer even said that there will be an actual rebalance soon after the Physics update. Speed and physics are just as important as stats for the gameplay, and from what Opeh-Rax said I get that current stats system won't be working well with new physics. I think a game redesigning, maybe with MU taken in account, will happen after the new update. Asking for a refund is more than legit.

Without protective paints Thunder is deathly. In standard battles Thunder is still good, but you have to struggle to get the same effect on the battle that you would easily have with freeze, smoky etc... if you are not epic with it.
