It's actually lag. Happens with almost every turret. It makes it look on your screen like their shot went beside you, but on theirs it really did hit you. Not sure if there's a way to fix it. Just keep yelling at the screen ig ?

This is a very common question. Believe it or not, the points you get in battles are actually "Score" and XP used for ranking up is entirely different. The numbers on the right are score, and on the left is xp for each action.
