Hello, Programs such as Fraps use your CPU to do the recording. It also depends on how fast the actual hard drive is. For example - I have a SSD when I was trying to record some gameplay fraps cuts my FPS from 60 to 45. All you can do is lower down your Graphics Settings while recording or give a try to other well know screen capture softwares such as Bandicam or OBS.
