Glad to see the Wiki still looks great. Has its old familiarity with some cool new features. Best of luck to the new candidates and current Staff, looks like it's still being run well.

I know I'm a tad late but had to say it was great working with you @CooperO, even briefly. I don't entirely remember everything from back then, but I know you were definitely one of the Staff I had the utmost respect for. It was great talking to you back then and I enjoyed working with you. Good luck with your other endeavours ?

Talk about Tanki friends who haven’t been online in years here.

Naw thanks, I still lurk around occasionally ? -
Would be great if you could also update the Other Maps Page for the New Year’s festivities. :)

Was just randomly flicking through the Wiki, I think there's been a newer version of the Container image uploaded here, as when I had first uploaded it, I made it smaller than its original. Perhaps you could reduce the sizing of the Container in the NY 2017/18 instalment of The Game. Nice to see the Wiki is still going well. Best of luck and good work from all the new Editors I haven't had the pleasure of meeting. :)

Bit late and kinda useless but Macs have a 'control' button which is the button that needs to be pressed. -
Haven't been visiting the Forum very often anymore but came back to see this. You came in during a particularly difficult time for the game and really tried to make a positive impact. Having previously been a Helper, I had the fortune to work quite closely with you on projects and it was extremely enjoyable. Thanks for all your efforts and assistance in this game, good luck with all your future endeavours! ;)

Guess the reputation lives on. :D -
It's also not just simply checking their submission, it's making sure it's factually correct, proofreading it, formatting it, etc. Judging by the immature use of the "Report" system, a far larger scale system like this would certainly not work.

The Wiki already works on mobile through the web link.

Time to switch myself and Vik xD

Holding you to that xD Not really my place to say, but there'd be countless amount of things. Consider, Epic Games for instance - Fortnite is a completely F2P game, with payments granting no competitive advantage, yet they make tonnes of revenue (though that's aside from the point). Taking money out of the equation, the Reddit sub is monitored frequently by Epic, who constantly address major bugs and implement big suggestions from topics they like. They do this frequently and constantly, whereas we have a designated I+S section, which, frankly, gets way too little from Devs, it's horrible. There are genuinely good ideas that even Mods acknowledge yet hardly any of them are implemented. Whilst the player base for this game isn't great (lots of toxicity, especially now, however there are occasionally good suggestions and discussions), I still think the communication between Devs and players is pretty bad. Highly doubt anyone higher than an Admin will see this, but it's not like they haven't heard this message before ... at this point, I think Tanki is too far gone to go anywhere.

Hello, everyone. To some, this may come as a shock and to others, this may have been foreseen. And no, this is not a one-month late April Fool's gag. Today marks my one year anniversary of me being an official Helper in this game. Whilst it is a joy to say I have successfully made it this far, I must also call quits on what has been a great four year journey. Not only am I indefinitely leaving the game, I am stepping down from all ... yes, all of my responsibilities/positions, including Wiki Editor, Newspaper Reporter (including AWC Helper), TTC Official and professional Forum Grammar Nazi. This game has been an enjoyable experience for me since day one. I'm stoked to have been introduced to this game by a good friend and also overjoyed to have been able to help this community flourish. Unfortunately, I no longer have the passion and motivation that I once did. I no longer play this game, as I simply do not enjoy gameplay anymore, however helping the community has always been a pleasure. It's important to remember that life always comes first; this means putting IRL commitments before online ones. I was able to once juggle three rather demanding positions for quite a while, mainly due to my own personal drive, but now, with a lack of time and me not enjoying this game anymore, I no longer see a point in me staying. I believe that I likely would have stayed for much, much longer had I see the game legitimately improve, but for the last few years, all I've seen is the Forum and Game constantly regress. Many of my friends have already left this game, so the more I actually play this game, the more I despise it. The only thing that has kept me this long is support from the community and a passion for what I did. At the point where I was accepted as a Wiki Candidate, I was ecstatic and it was the only reason that made me stay in this game for an entire year longer. I kickstarted TTC as a means for entertainment for the community and it was great fun, thank you for everyone who participated, but it became quite disappointing to see the participants decrease from 970+ to around 90. Albeit, TTC was an enormous success - the sheer number of participants was overwhelming, and it inspired me to keep going. The Newspaper was a great experience for me, thank you to all my colleagues, it was a treat multing working with you guys. To the community, it's been great talking and debating with many of you, I've enjoyed most of my time on the Forum. Unfortunately, it is extremely frustrating to see the once glorious Forum plagued with an all-new demographic of Forum spammers, unoriginal content, cringeworthy posts and flaming. I don't tend to outwardly criticise things in this game, but I believe that the community needs to come together, instead of pointlessly arguing, which is another reason I'm choosing to leave. To my colleagues, I've enjoyed my time working and chatting with most of you, thank you for making my time serving the community an enjoyable one. There were many hardships associated with my time as a Helper, but I'm glad to say that most of them helped improve me and were in fact right decisions. To all future and current Helpers, please make sure you apply for a position for the right reasons, those being; a willingness to serve unselfishly, a desire to improve whatever you take part in, and try not to always work for the rewards, consider it merely a motivation to work harder. In my opinion, if you wish to be a Helper, make sure that you're ready for all the responsibilities; your ego may go skyrocketing for the first few days, but remember the power you are being entrusted with also requires a hell of a lot of responsibility and commitment. And finally, don't abuse the power of your position, don't let your position make you a narcissistic, greedy, arrogant person, for I have witnessed people who have become like that, and trust me, no one appreciates it - always be down to earth. I do not wish to be a part of a team (or teams) where I'm a burden, not doing anything. This is why I believe prolonging my departure would not be the smartest idea, and now is the right time. I wish my teams the best of luck going forward, it's been a pleasure working with most of you guys. Lastly, I'd like to thank everyone that helped me get this far. Thank you to my Admins; Maf, Flex, Vikrall and especially Shad (even though he left the game), thank you for being great overseers. Thanks for all my close friends who have been nothing but supportive and for all the laughs. I would name all you guys, but I'd more likely than not end up missing and offending someone, but a special thanks goes out to these guys for all the great chats and memories we've had: Daniel (no words even needed xD), Adel (please don't spam me with hearts), Coop (thanks for being a great adviser), Hate (thanks for the help whenever I asked for it), DJax (sucks you had to leave so early, we had some of my best Tanki moments together), Jason (thanks for being someone I could trust when talking to), Luke (thanks for all the help and laughs), Momma (thanks for being a great person I could always rely on), Ninja (thanks for all the assistance you provided me with when I asked for it), Sergei (thanks for supporting me so much with all my projects, the laughs and for pushing me when I needed it) and TTW/Barry (you probably won't see this, but we had some amazing chats and thanks for being such a great person). Yeah, I know, short list, sorry if you didn't make it, just kept some of the genuinely nice people I met during my time here and the ones I could always trust. Yeah, so that's the conclusion of my extremely long resignation, congratulations if you made it this far! Thanks for everything, I'll still probably visit the Forum quite frequently and will still use Skype, so you can contact me via either of them if you need. I'll acknowledge most of the posts here, so yeah. :D This is Marc signing out ... goodbye everyone!

If you have nothing to contribute to the Wiki, nor have any suggestions for improvements, and just simply wish to obtain confidential information, then please leave this topic until you have something to contribute. What powers we do or don't have as part of our job as a Wiki Editor does not concern you at all. Obviously we aren't "hackers" if our job is to work on an official game site. We have powers to edit the Wiki and that is our job, that is all you need to know, for the rest is confidential.

Guys, let's make sure we keep this topic on topic and not go wayward, we do not want a flame-war in a retirement topic, so kindly leave this topic if you wish to keep bickering. Thanks. ;)

Thank you everyone for the kind words, we really appreciate it and enjoyed running this Contest. Just a head's up - running a Contest on your own (as it was in my case until I recruited a proper team) is seriously not easy, so genuinely have a think of whether or not you have what it takes to restart this on your own.
