Is the augment really just an upgrade?

For some reason, after the latest update, the game no longer ramps up 120Hz. I have a 120hz display and I used game to play at that refresh rate. However, the downloaded client has stopped supporting the high refresh rate. The weird thing is that when I play the game via chrome, the game ramps back up to 120hz. So it seems the chrome version is working fine but the downloaded client is capping the referesh rate

What you mean coinboxes. The rarity of even getting 500 tankoins is so rare that it isn't worth the try. I have opened 250 coin boxes and I have never ever received anything above 400 tankoins. Yes I could buy them in the shop with tankoins, but how do you get tankoins? Yes correct! via coinboxes! See the circular ring of stupidity? I really have to give it you Marcus. You are are rare breed of moderator that truly cares about the players(mr. nibbles does not count as he kowtows to every update and would defend tanki if they moved turrets to containers). I cannot thank you enough for helping us roll back the augments update. That being said, you know and I know the solution that the devs gave us was almost as s**ty as the problem they created. You jack up the price of alterations so high that there is no way the casual f2p player can buy them. 245000 for an alteration that used to cost 20,000 is not only ignorant on the part of the developers. Its moronic and stupid to the highest level. Want to play for free without being steamrolled by buyers? HAHA! What is this, tanki 2012-2015? Tanki is a cash cow that whether deliberately or not, tries to milk the player base for all their worth. And yes I get it, the developers need to make money. I completely understand. But the solution is not to release s*ht updates that makes the game pay to win. It is make the game as best as it can be. Because a tanki community with many players and healthy number of buyers is much better than a community of few players with an unhealthy number of buyers steamrolling everyone else.

Did the developers just disable all pro battles? Wouldnt be suprise, they seem to be on a crusade to destroy anything good about the game.

How does that make any sense? That’s like saying we shouldn’t have luxury items because people who work 60 hours a week shouldn’t be allowed to buy for....reasons? Logic is very flimsy

Yes but you rob them of their reward. Battles that show skill no matter how exclusive should still recieve a proper reward. A privilege is not a privilege if it has no tangible benefit(ie crystals)

How is this in any way fare? XPBP players want to play in their own arena away from the buyers and noobs. You cannnot rob them of crystals simply because they decide to play with more skilled players. Have you no knowledge of the Constitution’s equal protection clause. Oh wait, do you even enjoy these rights(okay sorry that got out of hand but seriously it makes no sense)

I applaud your effort to put out the fire and damage control but sometimes you have to let the fire burn out of fuel.

This game has been apart of my childhood. I played hours upon hours and I loved every minute of it. However, it is updates like these that make my blood boil. I can attest to the perseverance we as a Tanki community have held to during these hard times. We are the tankers who stay loyal to a game we know is slowly but surely dying. I have seen the good updates and the truly egregious updates. Yet I have always tried to give you guys the benefit of the doubt and hold on to the belief that you have the interest of the game and tanker in mind. I am the first to defend you guys when ever you release unpopular updates like paint-module separation, overdrives, yes even matchmaking. Despite how bad matchmaking’s release was, I still supported you guys because I knew the game needed to embrace the future. However there are also updates that truly make no sense. It is these updates that make me doubt your judgement and your motives. For years, we have complained nonstop about menacing problem of P2W. Battles seemed to be dominated by the size of ones wallet rather than skill. You guys haven’t done a great job fixing this problem but we see recently there has been an effort(Tankoins). This update goes against common sense and the Tanki community. Alterations were a great thing that helped diversify gameplay. F2P players could tailor their turrets to their own playing style. Premium players could have fun and experiment with more expensive alterations. The thing that mattered was that we could earn them. We knew that if we played hard enough we could earn the crystals to buy these alterations. What this update will do is destroy any remaining motivation to grind. You have essentially relegated the benefits of alterations to the hit and miss nature of containers. Premium players have lost little to nothing. They can binge on their wallets and eventually find what they want. This is however not a luxury F2P players can afford. F2P tankers cannot and should not be forced to rely on these containers. Skill and hard work should determine their strength, not containers. This updates feels like another heartless stab in the back. We tankers have begged and pleaded with you guys to just listen and consider our grievances. Yet there are times it seems that you guys turn a blind eye to our wishes. We do not expect you fulfill every one of our fleeting desires. Updates should nonetheless be narrowly tailored to our wishes. sorry this is long. I’m have gone from anger to disappointment to sadness
