You're the only one telling about it. Most probably, It may be a bug because if Tanki wanted to give a little bit of hint about some upcoming event, then the Ginger Bread Man would have appeared in more than 1 battle and other players would have talked about it. So, I think it's a kind of bug you've seen. A bug of maybe a fault in loading the cache.

It can be various paints or we can say a simple black paint representing the "Black Friday" event. The thing where you are confused is the shine on the tank, so let me tell you that things are different in an actual battle and wallpapers since they are edited many times before applying it as wallpaper.
