Creative criticism
1. I have a gaming laptop (doesn't matter if it's Hz60) and in all the battles I've had in HTML5 I experienced interruptions during the most crucial moments. FPS still has to be improved, I have better performance on Flash with it. I am not exagerating. This is how it is (in my case).
2. I love the new interface, but if create join a group, I can't leave it because there is no button for that! I need to wait for the host of the group to disassemble it, or go to Flash version because it has a dedicated button there. That's the only thing that I don't like regarding the interface.
3. "Unlimited potential for developing new content" - ok that's cool if you guys can make new content, but if the community doesn't like it, it's not worth adding it/them to the game. The number 1 reason why most of the community is not satisfied with the updates is because they don't like them. Yes, we do want the game to be balanced but not by removing features that we liked. I am gonna ask you a question:
What is more important for a game?
A) Keep the game balanced the way you think it is balanced.
B) Keep the community happy and satisfied with the updates (and/or balance changes).
B) is the obvious correct answer. If you keep updating the game with changes that the community doesn't like, they will just stop playing it. And what are you going to do then, when you will have no players? Just ask all the time "What have we done wrong?"? Look, even if you think that all the updates and balance changes you've made recently are needed for the game, you can't just give a brief reason in a V-LOG and then leave it. The community demands proper explanation and THE RIGHT TO NEGOTIATE THE FUTURE OF THE GAME with the developers. You guys said there are new stuff coming during Tanki's Birthday. Well, what's the point if we won't like it? (And you can't assume that we will like it because the majority of the updates and balance changes only pulled hatred.) In that case, you should always reach out to us, and our opinions so you will introduce updates that are pleasant and fun. Not in your perspective, but in our's. It doesn't have to be cool for you. It has to be cool for us!
My main message to YOU:
In my humble opinion, I think updates should be community dependent: We get to decide with polls in-game (not a hard thing to introduce because HTML5 has unlimited potential for that) or in the forum (websites are also done by HTML5 so that's not hard either). I wish I could have a talk with you, because you barely (more like never) respond in any shape or form apart from V-LOGS (which is also VERY rare). You never reply on Youtube either, so we don't know if you actually look into our feedback. Have you EVER looked in "Ideas for..." forum pages? Countless and overwhelming amount of good ideas have been written there, only to become a thing of the past because you didn't review them. You keep trying to introduce updates that we like. Sometimes you succeed, sometimes you don't. And every time you don't, players are quitting the game. Where are the other 80.000 players 5 years ago, when about 110.000 tankers were playing every day? Why is it 20.000 today? We can pump these numbers up, but without actual democracy, it won't happen. And by democracy, I mean THE RIGHT TO NEGOTIATE THE FUTURE OF THE GAME with polls.
If any Helper or some sort deletes this comment he/she is a horrible person because all I said above is true, correct, rightful, equitable, justifiable and legitimate.
