While the point has been already been made numerous times, I will add some of my completly unbiased opinion as a Striker player. Where I stand, it is a totally valid turret, a replacement for Thunder at high ranks (50% prots to the infinity...), and a very fun and satisfying turret once you master it. Striker's efficiency depends on rank, combo, alteration, and map. But that's not surprising, all turrets have that (Firebird on Massacre will not be your easiest win). Rank: Lock-on ability and arcade shots: Alterations: Ok, this rant is too long. Bottom line: Striker is cool once you get used to it. Never use the lock on ability. Uranium is awesome and is an unsung gem. Striker in low ranks is underpowered. And I will be sad if ever striker is removed. Everyone should try it sometimes, I swear it is worth it!

I believe that going forward with html5 is the the only chance Tanki has. However, as others have expressed, on older computers (mine is 5 years old) the html5 client and browser induces massive spikes in RAM and crashes at least once per game, both of which obviously prevents a good gameplay. From my point of view, the recent update wich reduces lag specifically in firefox, did not significantly improve my condition, as when I try to play on that browser, it is no responding almost half the time. This is dramatically different to the flash client which is super smooth and nearly never crashes. If the current lag isssues of html5 are not somehow solved, for me, the early discontinuation of flash would mean the start of a Tanki hiatus.

Ça fais du bien de voir un peu de français de temps à autre! Merci pour cet article sympa et plutôt complet! Dans le passé, j'ai organisé plusieurs événements sans succès. Mon problème principal était un manque de participants respectueux des règles. -

My concerns are probably already addressed by others in this thread but I will still write them here. Why I don't use HTML5: Both the html5 client and browser crash after 1-2 battles. Both saturates my computer's RAM and always crashes after ~10 minutes, regardless of anisotropic filtering. I am unsure of what causes this but it dosn't happen in the flash. Also, flash allows me to have PING <100 and FPS >50, while the html5 client will quickly bring me to PING 100< >300 and lag spikes every 10-20 secs V and R with same function as before, or a system which allows to obtain the same information Options on each player names - profile, copy name, ignore, vote options Transitions between missions, menu, garage, game, etc. are annoyingly slow, especially to the flash client's instant window changes Things I care less about (in order): The camera lag when turning - although this change is very frustrating for me, I guess I could get used to it... Option to remove the red contours when aiming - completly useless with most turrets I use (gauss, thunder, vulcan, striker) The chat is a overlay, not background (eg. can't access it in the garage) - although this dosn't impact the game, it will massively reduce social interations Battle chat on endscreen - super convenient for friends&foes Notification when micro-upgades are completed Smoother switch between accounts in the client - Flash is not exactly better, but I wish it was the case Honestly, if my first point is not solved, I don't think it I will be able to continue playing after the end of flash.
