MU without speedup is not beneficial unless one has lots of spare time. (Ex: Fire Bird MK6 to MK7 with MU takes total of 31Days 6Hrs) Further, people prefer MU when there is a sale which obviously does not last 32 days. So they inherently go for Speed ups. By the way, you end up spending same amount of crystals used in MK upgrade.

Prices can be checked in Wiki page using calculator mode. MU is always costlier than MK because of speed up costs. (Fire Bird MU Ex: https://en.tankiwiki.com/Micro-upgrades_Firebird ) No. So it is always advisable to use MU's for MK7 to MK7+ to not end up wasting crystals.

I do not think chrome lags. Chrome is must faster when compared to IE especially for heavy applications.
