I do not think that they will make the current version of tanki into the "old tanki" as it is pretty much impossible. The old mechanics might make a return in certain aspects but as far as the whole engine goes, it's just impractical.

The point of giving spectrum is to reward players who have achieved great things such as Winning Clan Championships etc... As for your point well it's not unfair, the players have earnt it so it is totally fair for them to use it ( even if it is a skilled player ).

You have to pay the full price for it. It will only get reduced if you have fully upgraded the hull/turret.

The YouTuber Battles announcement page says, in order to participate in the event the requirements are:
Get one of the YouTuber-themed special offers Play in Matchmaking and earn no less than 300 stars Therefore I believe that *Only people who have bought the paint and earned more than 300 stars will be able to get the winning prizes.
