and literally every update after the removal of 10 crystal boxes. the only good thing was paint separation, space mode, and adding the old maps canyon and deck 9 to the game. hammer and vulcan were good too.

same. i started playing in 2013 so i dont like the old physics. plus the new graphics (new as in right after the graphics update) with still the old isida effect. its hard for me to control the tank because it takes a lot longer to accelerate and when it turns it slows down a lot. i REALLY REALLY wish someone made a 2013 version of tanki

How Tanki DIED and what should be done

Hello! I've been playing Tanki online for a long time (late 2013) and I have see this game grow. This game is a fun game but at one point the developers tinkered with the game too much which killed it. Today I will address these things and explain how they damaged the playerbase. 1. pay to win: This is probably the biggest problem. Pay to win games NEVER last long. The only people that stay are the players who don't like being skilled and just paying money so they can do good. I understand that the tanki developers need a way to earn money, but this is the worst way to do it. Buying crystals is stupid. They could've made is so you can buy: paints, gold boxes, Weapon skins, custom username colors/animations, etc. Literally ANY thing that doesn't give them an in-game advantage. 2. updates that nobody asked for: It seems to me that the developers don't care about what the players thinks about the game, they just randomly add updates to make the game look active. The funny thing is, every update made the game worse. Like who asked for drones? Who wants all the dumb overdrives? Nobody! They keep on adding trillions of different paints which just make everything ugly. Tanki is supposed to be a simple game with two assets: turret and hull. The devs think we are bored of it or something so decided to make it worse. 3. not listening to the playerbase: Lastly, tanki died because the developers didn't listen to the players. Even in the forum rules it states that we cannot ask to revert updates. This is just forcing you idea to all players, and so everyone that doesn't like it just leaves. For example, who asked for 10 crystal boxes to be removed? The developers just ignore everyone and just try to milk money from the kids who still take their parents money to buy their 1000th m3 weapon. MK6, whatever. These classifications are stupid. Tanki developers don't care about player feedback and just throw dumb updates at us. All successful games have developers that actually listen to the community and change their game based on what the players want, and not how they can make more money. In conclusion, tanki needs to revert the game not 1 update, not 2 updates, but a whole 6-7 years back. 2012-2014 is when the game peaked. Back then, nobody bought crystals to make them better. Back then, it was just turret, hull, and paint. No stupid drones. No stupid overdrives. No dumb attack gamemodes. DM/TDM/CTF/CP. No premium. No alterations. No pay to win. I really wish someday, the tanki devs will hear me and make their game fun. Maybe then people will return to it. Thank you. Sincerely, CaptainPetter
