Hey guys, So I'm coming back after a couple years of not playing this game, but I used to play it when the repair chests had the Red Cross on them and twins were like....the newest gun haha. After playing with EVERY gun and EVERY hull I came down the the desicion that the Titan was my favorite hull, and that Thunder works best with it. This is only my opinion, there are MANY players much better than me that would disagree with me so I don't want to cause hate in the chat haha. I do have a few reasons for this combo: 1) Titan is a hunky but relatively quick hull for it's armor and thunder is a midrange turret (thunder doesn't do nearly as much damage when playing far away, and damages you almost as much as your enemy when up close) so since they both work pretty well at midrange, I think it makes a monster out of any player at midrange, even when you haven't reached M3-M4 status. 2) Titan is clunky, but thunder doesn't require much accuracy: I've often killed tanks with my thunder+titan combo when blasting walls instead of actually making direct hits, and I've often killed sets of tanks by just shooting a wall near them which helps when you're trying to get away from Firebird and Freeze turrets which normally use evasive maneuvers against bigger guns (at least from what I've seen). I'm also a bit of a clunky video game player, because I don't play many (only tanki currently actually) so not having to be as accurate helps, and titan gives me some extra armor when being attacked by better players but still enough speed to get around I've captured a good number of flags and points while using titan) 3) Yes, Titan is a rather ugly hull overall, but that's also what people will say when they're intimiated by other people, so fellow titan users, remember that. I think the Mammoth is an okay hull, but it's just TOO slow. It's not that hard for a firebird to get to you even when sniping, and then it takes sometimes 10 or so seconds before you can even get a shot off at people. And against those isida, firebird, freezer, turrets using titan, just get a few modules and update them till you're better protected, that's what I've done.
