Maybe am a lil late, but congrats to @Maf for earning the medal of merit, i truly dont know anyone who deserves it more than you. Ofc i am a little sad to see you leaving thr helpers throne, it is remniscient of the death of Queen Elizebeth II. All my life she was THE monarch, and i kind of took her for granted (evenvtho she nevercrly did anything to me lol). Same with you; you were always present in the forum, helping out the forumers as an admin. Seeing get of the admin throne is kinda weird. But hey, medal of merit mucho better isnt it? 100% agree, would be so messy with random pics here and there. Rn the forum is pleasant to look at, with nice background color and fitting avatars and all. Nothing would stand out and shout you know? And then the selfies come along with loud white backgrounds and everything. Plus i would prefer (imo) to keep everyone anonymous so to speak. I mean, there is already a selfie topic in off topic if you really wanted to share yourself, but for general it is better if it is justvthe avatars we get now. Not looking forward to turn the forum into discord or reddit 2.0 Besides it makes the forum really unique Ikr??! Worst part is when somone 6 to any age start spamming those stuff irl to try to look old. Idk whats up with children nowadays, they go out and shout it loud and proud hoping they sound grown up, only they sound more like immature little kids. So a player named @krish123super just joined the forum, and his name gave me a jumpscare because i recollect having seen the same or similar nick posting on the frum during 2016 or somewhere around there. I did a bit of digging and found @krish123_super, which i am sure is the person im thinking of, but a visit to his profile revealed that he never posted anything. So any of you old timer forumers remember krish123_super? Im pretty sure the one with underscore is the right one cuz it gave me an instant pang of nostalgia. So.. if you remember him posting can ysll just inform me so i know im not crazy :x thanks

Just a question. Im a bitboutdated on whats going on in tanki, but since rubies are added and events still costs tankoins, does that mean when free players run out of tankoins they wont be able to participate? Or did rubies get removed or something?

If you mean the holiday paint its still there but on special occasions and events it changes to another paint. But even on normal days it isnt black and white, more of a grey and white (at least from thr last time i checked). Wouldnt mind if they change the grey to black again ngl, gives the real old tanki feel where players were too broke for a good paint and checkers were everywhere lol

On mobile right now, you have this supply wheel thingy where you drag left, right, up, or down to activate Boosted armour, speed boost, double damage, and mines respectively and the repair box is a seperate button next to the overdrive. My idea is to remove mines from the wheel and give it a button next to the repair kit. Then, on the wheel, instead of mines you have an 'x' button where if selected no supplies will be activated. This way, if you pressed the wheel you are not obligated to activate a supply. Right now the only way (to my knowledge) to close the supply wheel without choosing a supply is to drag your hand to the center, but that requires a lot of control ngl and it is also very easy to overshoot. To have a cancel button would be more practical. Secondly, mine arts on mobile right now is so hard. You have to keep dragging down on the wheel, instead of spamming the mines button like on the old UI. with this idea making mine art is wayy easier. Also the devs could just add an option for mobile players to have the supplies on the center bottom of the screen like before, and just press on the icons to activate a supply. I think you are probably right, it has been driving me crazy the past few months. Perhaps it is an inevitable feeling when looking back at younger days.

I am turming 15 next week, so im trying not to do anything that might embarrass myself when i turn older. I try not to think of myself as capable of doing many things, because of course when i get older i would be capable of doing many more things. Then i would look back and think what a dumdum i was. In fact ive been thinking that since i was 13 lol.somehow always think my younger self is so dumb because i thought i am so 'grownup' and can do so much awesome stuff(chores) or whatever. I guess what i never noticed was that i will always be doing things ive never done before and look back to think how dumb i was to think i knew a lot back then. But maybe i will always be looking back and thinking how foolish i was. It is driving me crazy trying to do things without making myself embarrassed down the road. But i bet in a few years i will look back at this and think 'why did i write this? That was so dumb!' So maybe it is an unavoidable part of life ?

I have no illusion about where the game is headed. I know it is basically sinking. The devs are basically bailing the water out, instead of fixing the leak. However I fail to see how deleting the forum will benefit the game in ANY way. That happened to the forum of some other region this year or last year, i cant remember. I know it is possible that they do it, though i still cannot see how it possible benefits them. The deletion of the newspaper kinda made sense; the reporters were getting less. The postings were one story weekly. I witnessed it shutting down and it is not a memory i relish. Same goes for the events team. They used to host chat contests etc, but one day it just got removed. I still fail to understand why. It might be new players are not interested in spending time to contribute to the community. The game is not fun enough, the community too small, to have any real impact. In fact, im really impressed that tanki youtubers still exist, and its a huge kudos to them that some havent moved on to valorant or something. I think that the devs deleted the other forum because it was bwsically dead. I kid you not, sometimes they go 3 days with no new posts. Most posts are from the CM of that community, doing updates and such. I kind of pity that CM, to see his community fall into pieces... for me it would have felt very bad. But unfortunately we have no power in the forum. We voice our opinions, but in the end it is up to the devs what they want to do. Maybe they want to cut their losses. Thwt will not suprise me at all, thry did it before. But i would not rejoice in the deletion of the forum. I see no reason to do so. The forum is where players go to to find information on the game. Once that id gone, they get bamboozled by updates because it is hard to find reliable people to explain the updates. Then, since basically the game itself is the only thing holding you to tanki, one day you will very soon find yourself bored by it and move on. In order to fix that, the devs must make the game fun. As in, engaging, not fun as in 'wow, i got one single good battle out of ten; thats pretty good'. If the game is engaging, players will naturally seek out friends among the player base. That will lead to a community. And that is what the forum is for. Therefore deleting the forum does nothing. What needs to change is the game. Just saying, if you see deleting the forum as a good thing because it is so horrible now, that is just like the devs; ignoring the real problem and doing some random that does not adress the real problem. Oww, cant you have chosen a better simile? It makes me cringe to imagine myself swooning to pop music. Classic is the way to go! ? Anyways i am by no means cheering tanki on. Instead i am trying to prevent (according to your simile) 'Elvis' from having to have backup singerd cover up. The only thing wrong about your example is that, in the end, elvis was getting old, there is nothing better he can do than to cut his losses. Tanki can be fixed. Only, instead of fixing it, it is doing desperate lip synching. Fake it till you make it does not work. You need to fix the issue. I do not believe tanki devs do not know the problem. I also do not believe they are not adressing it. The problem is, they are not 100% focused on it. Instead they roll out updates that for the most part does nothing. It is like counterfeit money. Looks good but worth zilch. Same to you ? we using the forum for what it's here for. as a summary, basically deleting the forum will be like the notorious updates that does nothing; it does not do anything to fix the game, so therefore it should not be done. you know the events players keep saying are useless and that they want something that actually makes the game better?
