  1. cybernite's post in Google Chrome how to improve fps using Linux Wayland? was marked as the answer
I will answer my own question to help others play Tanki Online with Chrome like browsers.
This has been bothering me for 1 month now and finally figured out how to fix it.
    1> Address bar: chrome://flags
    2> Search for OZONE
    "PREFERRED OZONE PLATFORM"
    3> Change DEFAULT to WAYLAND
Default would be using Xwayland a compatibility layer to use X11 on wayland this will give you overhead
and will only get 60fps. By changing this to Wayland I now get 165 fps with 2 monitors plugged in.
I am using Ubuntu 24.04 LTS with Gnome 46 (Wayland) and I can now run tanki online in a browser in 4-5 Gigs ram
instead on Windows 11 like 8-11 Gigs ram.
Have fun all and take care....
  2. cybernite's post in Game client are not working was marked as the answer
I wonder if they will make a LInux and MacOS Game Client; but I just use Google Chrome (seems better than Firefox and MS Edge).
It depends on your computer system and monitor refresh rate. I get 165 fps; what I did is in SETTINGS>GRAPHICS I use LOW RESOLUTION instead of
HIGH. But I could use HIGH but with 60fps....  one problem if over do the settings you can overheat your computer system.
Make sure hardware acceleration is on....  in chrome there is 2 things to check out...on address bar... chrome:\\gpu and chrome:\\flags
Can't remember all the settings but just google search, and go into chrome://flags....
I think you could optimize in Edge and Firefox but not familiar with those browsers.
I switched from Windows 11 to Ubuntu 22.04 LTS... and Tanki seems to be the same basically but takes half the memory...like 4-5 Gigs ram but with Win11 like 10-11 Gigs ram.
    Good luck...
