Depends on the Devs. If they will extend the time for the event they will for sure announce it.

The 4th protection slot is not available in any sort of containers (and I don't think they will ever add it to them)
You can obtain the 4th slot within tanki funds (for hitting the conditions) or in mini events, like the current one:
