Congratulations. You've just done what even the most seasoned veterans of the community feared: you took a system where every trophy was the result of real, painstaking effort and, without any sentimentality, turned it into digital trash. Trophies, once symbols of achievement and perseverance, now look like collectible pumpkins from a promo kit for Watermelon Day — bright but completely useless. Everything that used to command respect now only evokes confusion and sarcastic laughter. Let's set the record straight right away: no, the trophies weren't "given out" — it would have been easier if they had simply been given away. They were taken and destroyed. Completely revamped. Devalued. The essence was cut out and replaced with an empty shell. To "smooth over" the consequences, players were given some compensation — a device called "Excelsior." On paper, it's an attempt at a replacement. In reality, it's a patch for a severed limb. A device that has nothing in common with the previous trophies, neither in terms of parameters, meaning, nor applicability. It's just an abstract offering. It's like giving a keychain with the logo of a car repair shop in response to a broken car. And it's already clear: this "scrap" is a temporary fix, either to be killed by a rebalance or quietly discarded in the next patch. This is not compensation. It's an insult. We are not the offended, not the complainers. We are the ones who built the game with you. The ones who spent hours and days going through all the stages, analyzing the mechanics, selecting builds, finding optimal combinations, learning, and winning. And now, everything we did has been reduced to zero. We were given a device that's useless, gives nothing, and has no historical or functional value. It is not connected to our past experience or our achieved results. Everything that used to matter — unique bonuses, time-tested devices, in-game pride — is now just a line in the change log. Without weight. Without respect. Without meaning. What is especially disheartening is that you're not solving real problems. You're patching things that didn't ask for intervention. Balance? Still suffering from old mistakes. Metagame? Stagnant. Optimization? Well, you know. Content stagnation, slow fixes, lack of progress on key issues — all of this drags on year after year. But as soon as someone screams on stream, "Aaaah, the trophies are overpowered! I can't get them! Make it fair for everyone!" — the change roller starts running over the little that actually worked. First, Jagger got nerfed, then Sturm, and now you've come for the trophies. Instead of developing a complex, deeply structured achievement system, you decided to make everything "the same." Unequal conditions? Yes. But not in terms of effort — in terms of approach. The trophy used to be a mark: you achieved, you deserved, you invested. Now, it's just an in-game marker that says "was online." You didn’t simplify the system. You buried it. Now it's just a broken showcase of achievements with nothing behind it. And instead of pride, there's only disappointment. Trophies were an element of prestige. Their presence signaled that someone knew how to play, that they had gone through real trials. It was an internal currency of respect. Now, it’s just another loot box. Accessible, empty, and completely devalued. If anyone still has a conscience, if there are people on the team who care about the players' contributions, reconsider the decision. This update is not about accessibility. It's about disrespect. It says plainly: your efforts mean nothing. You were given a toy — be happy. But we are not happy. We remember what we fought for. We see how what was built over the years is crumbling. And while you're catering to the cries of complainers and striving to simplify the game into tasteless mush, you're losing those who were with you from the very beginning. We understand the desire to make the game more accessible. That’s fine. But accessibility should not devalue the efforts of others. When the value of achievements is erased, the motivation to play disappears. The spirit of competition fades. The meaning of progress is lost. And with that, the respect for the developer who decided that the convenience of the complainers was more important than the honest labor of devoted players fades as well.
