  1. POWER-OF-ONE

    Battleship 2025

You all know these events are trash and yet you still engage in them. WHY?
  2. You never did give an answer that question! Still waiting for that answer.

Ahh the sheer optimism would be infectious if it was not so badly misplaced. Let's put your figures into perspective shall we. 4.400tk-that's a lot. 60 Epic containers that give you very little in return. Now you say that amount of containers would usually cost you 12.000 rubies (i will take your word for it as i can't be bothered to check that out) 12.000 rubies is a huge amount and here is were "YOU" are missing the point. You think that is a good deal because the devs set the normal price to astronomical levels, so when any seemingly cut price offer is available you perceive that as the devs being kind and caring towards it's player base. This is how the devs con players like you, with blatant ease. Recruit paint=laughable even if it was free.
  4. They are not developing a game for "the people", that is only an illusion. Rather dramatic but I take your point. Only TO does not seem to be dying anytime soon, conditioned buyers with tunnel vision are keeping it alive. I really wish this were true- BUT there are just to many conditioned players for this to happen. How many crappy updates have they brought into the game with players complaining big time. How many of these players remain in the game, give them cash and just accept whatever crap the devs throw at them, I'd say it's about 90% of them, at the very least. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<---->>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> TO has been around for 16 years and with each passing year they have brought changes into the game that most players do not like. They constantly introduce new OP gear into the game, usually with a price tag attached to it, then they nerf it and start over with another OP item. Do players leave, nope, why not, because TO is a part of their life/routine and to leave seems unbearable to them. This is called "conditioning" and the devs prey on these weak willed players who are only too willing to give them their cash. Do I still play on a regular basis-yes, but I no longer play for 3/4 hrs a day, and back in the day it was considerably longer. I would say my actual "game time" is about 1 or2 hrs on a couple of chosen accounts that are still viable enough to count in battles. Why do I still play-because I'm good and enjoy what I do-camping nightmare right here. Am I conditioned to the point I spend (WASTE) cash on the game-no. Do I participate in events-no. Except for the last war event (because I had spare tankoins/rubies and I felt it was worth it, surprisingly) I refuse to buy into their con. I won the war paint, which I will never use. Do I buy battle passes-very rare occasions if I feel the account I am using is still worth it, and only if that account already has the required funds to do so. Do I buy into the 1000 star challenge-only ever done it on two occasions. This challenge is way overpriced for what you get. Legendary key for level 20-? whatever. Pile of useless, unwanted garbage. 10 rare keys, 10 energy and 5 epic instead of 3 and 100tk instead of the useless legendary, and reduce the price to 1,500 and I would probably buy into it more often. TCSOTO=Glitchy, overpriced, same old, same old.
  5. It's not. The direction would be right "IF" they get rid of passive XP and adopt my solution, then it would be right. Why reduce something only to add it onto another part of the game, makes no sense, right? They are adding passive XP so as to mitigate their seemingly appeared perception of "doing the right thing" Typical devs. Slowing progression down like I have suggested improves TO by an astronomical amount and it will in no way "feel grindy". What is a grind is the current system. That's because they are. Disagree. Agree. You never did give an answer that question!
  6. LOL not really. My solution has been posted in multiple topics, even when it had no bearing related to that particular topic, much to the distain of certain mods who usually removed my reply or put it somewhere else. I will explain my simple, but very easily implemented solution one last time, which would rectify not only MM, but the rank difference that occurs in battles on a regular basis. My idea does not primarily include those ranks above Marshal as they are already either in good shape or struggling because of the current set up. My idea concerns the very low ranks leading up to Marshal. Currently players rank at an alarming pace which causes them to become weaker every time they rank up, this is a fact unless you "BUY" your way through the ranks. My solution:- 1- Increase the XP needed to rank by a factor of x2 from recruit all the way to Marshal. A- This would ensure that players stay at their rank for much longer, giving them the ability/chance to earn enough cry to improve their garage at the next rank. B- It would also help drastically to improve the woeful MM system which has never worked, either by design, or just very badly applied by keeping similar ranks together for much longer, so negating to a large extent the parity between ranks. 2-Make it so that after every battle your crystal to XP ratio is at least double without premium. A- This explains itself really. 3-Reputation points is a big factor why players also rank far to quickly, because they are the hardest to accumulate, which means you need to play longer, which means you gain more XP, which means you rank to fast, which means your weaker at the next rank. Vicious circle springs to mind. 4-Passive XP is a relatively new addition to the game, but it has a massive, negative impact on lower ranks for the reasons mentioned above. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> This is a new point I am making. It's one I have been aware of for a long time but never thought to include it into my "SOLUTION." 5-When you start a new account they (the devs) give you incentives to spend cash on seemingly amazing deals. Here is the problem with that little earner they tempt you with. What is the point of spending cash on these one off good deals when in reality it does absolutely nothing to improve your account/garage because of the massive and intended flaws in the game (EVERYTHING I HAVE MENTIONED ABOVE) which are deliberately employed to get your cash, or make you just another wannabe if you refuse to spend on their very expensive game. TO is a business, I get that. I agree that they (the company) have to make a profit in order to keep the game running, anything other than making a profit would render the game from a business perspective, null and void, not worth doing. I GET THAT. If the devs would actually act on reasonable, well thought out feedback I maintain that "THE BUSINESS" would thrive even more. A happy and content player base would be far more willing to spend cash on a game that actually gave a s--t about It's players. There are so many things wrong with TO, so many bad updates, far to many complaints, and it all stems from their innate disdain for the players and their inability to temper their greed with anything resembling fairness. TCSOTO-@Positive what do you think it is.
  7. What a load of tripe. My solution would 100% fix the problem, and hazel knows it will. Also my solution would not unbalance the imbalance hazel so desperately want's to keep. Let me explain that last sentence. My solution would put players with very similar ranks (2 either way) in battles against each other. This in itself does not rectify the "BALANCE" problem insofar as P2w and non buyers experience, with the "balance" going in favour of the buyers. What my solution does is make sure that "very similar" ranks play against each other all the time and not against ranks 4/5/6 times above them, sometimes even higher. I've explained my solution at least a dozen times in various topics so I will not be going into any detail here. Bottom line-MY idea would work FACT. Along with augments they have ruined TO. I seriously get were your coming from BUT the core problem is "G R E E D". But yeah, and nobody HATES these skips more than me. Not often I agree with anything you lot post but your correct. And there you have it. This is why the devs will always win when it comes to taking the P out of the players.
  8. This is due because not enough players are fitting the criteria for MM. This is down to players ranking far to quickly and not having the resources to improve their garage after each subsequent rank up. My solution would improve MM tenfold. This is why MM failed from the instance it was brought into the game. This is why "MY" IDEA" was rejected because the devs want unbalance in battles in the hope some players will buy their way out of being canon fodder. I maintain that TO will get progressively worse with every update "they" bring out.
  9. Bots. The other downside is that players will "eventually", probably over a period of a couple months, maybe a bit longer be back at square one facing much stronger players because of the way TO sets out the mechanics of the game. There will ALWAYS be uneven teams in TO because of so many factors that can present themselves in the game. I will give a few examples. 1-Players from back in the day reactivating old accounts at lower ranks that have multiple protections. There are no prots until General rank, so those players already have a big advantage, and there are quite a few. 2-The buyers. 3-Did I mention the useless, pathetic, waste of space bots. 4-luck. The nerfed containers that once in a blue moon give out something that enhances your garage. 5-The biggest factor imo are the players themselves. Skill factor. Knowing what to do for the good of the team goes a long way in determining the outcome of a lot of battles. There are just to many factors to contend with when putting players against each other based on "win rate" only. One last example. I camp. I do this because I refuse to be cannon fodder for the multitude of ways you can be taken out. I am very good at camping and usually get top 3, regardless if I'm on the winning team or not. I would guess that my win rate is maybe between 40/50% with a small percentage of draws thrown in. I regard myself as a smart player and I always target skips, "ALWAYS". If my win rate dropped (because of various factors beyond my control) then I would be placed in ever increasing weaker teams, even though my combo is strong, at my rank that is. In a near perfect TO world your idea is ok, but this is TO, and cash rules all decisions made regarding how the game will progress. Players in the main are just a platform to ensure the cash keeps rolling in, hence the mechanics of the game will always be unbalanced and ideas to improve the game will always be rejected, no matter how good they are, unless of course they coincide with their cash making scheming ways. TCSOTO will only get worse, much worse.
  10. So very true. Again very true. Can't really comment on that one as I have no idea if that's what actually happens. Skips compound the issue enormously. I gave the best solution to this years ago and it got ignored. My solution would have balanced out teams according to rank over a period of time and improved MM by orders of magnitude, but it got ignored. GS can be a false indicator of a strong garage. A Legend can have "one" maxed out combo with 4 maxed protections and have 9999 GS but no other combo's or protections to fall back on. Not sure if that actually works. I think MM goes off ranks not GS. Bad idea and will never happen.
  11. I'm done. As for the devs and you mods-------have a guess.
