Are stars earned in missions counted?

Why would anybody want to join this event? You pay rubies in advance. If you don't complete the mission (eg destroy juggernaut three times in one day), you will get nothing. and if you complete it what you get depends on how well the rest of the team performs. If you are stuck with a poor performing team, your points will be low and wont be able to get anything interesting from the prizes. Maybe its better to spend the rubies on something guaranteed from the shop, like one of bundles.

"To receive the points, a player must complete the contract." what does complete the contract mean? these who don't complete the mission of the day they don't get points?
