Why do you play Tanki Online?

I'll give you a detailed answer. 1) Realism> I love tank games. I like simulation ones best like T-72 or Tiger Vs T-34 because they are the most realistic possible and each shot can affect a certain aspect of the tank like turret malfunction, gun destroyed, treads broken, engine overheat, etc. Unfortunately almost no one plays those so multiplayer is nonexistent and that was a big let down. Of course Tanki does not have have this realism. Hell, the tanks aren't even real but the new physics was a big breakthrough towards that goal, though it still needs some tweaking specially when someone spawns under you and you're completely flipped over. 2) Multiplayer> Well, it's a 100% multiplayer game, that's already a big step forward. It could have a small singleplayer mode for a bit of practice for newcomers, I think but I don't think it's that necessary. 3) Customization> One of the top reasons I was attracted to this game. You can choose your tank, paint and hull at will and we can build at our own liking. That's one of the main things I love in games. What would really glue me to Tanki is the ability for detailed customization, small parts that you can attach just for esthetics or maybe to improve the tank. Best of all would be to build our own tank from scratch with a number of parts that we had to buy. Unfortunately, a tank sandbox game with matching graphics and gameplay is still nonexistent. If it did, I would abandon Tanki and go play that one for sure. If that's asking too much, well just make more hulls, paints and guns to enable more different combos. 4) Graphics> The graphics of Tanki are in my opinion in the following region, displayed by the O: Too crappy-------o-------o-------o--O-----o-------o-------o-------Too fancy By too crappy, I mean bad resolution texture, pixelated and lack of antialising, light and others By too fancy I give you examples such as the most recent Call Of Duties or Battlefields. There's just too much information for our eyes and that gets you confused. I think it can still be improved but not too much. It's pretty much there for it's type of game. 5) Gameplay> I think Tanki sits right between tank simulation games and arcade games such as World Of Tanks. One of the main reasons for that is: There are no cross-airs. That, ladies and gentlemen is another of the main reasons why I like tanki! No freaking cross-airs! You need a bit of skill to take the shot! (for some guns of course). 3rd person games and no cross-airs is very rare nowadays. The gameplay is pretty straightforward. It's simple, easy and enjoyable. I would just vote for a bit more realism for how can a shot affect a certain part of tanks body for a bit more gameplay complexity but other than that it's quite good. So yeah, that's my time. I would definitely vote for an improvement on point 3) above all others at the moment

    Change items during the battle

As a 100% railgun player, If a player decides to switch from Smoky to Freeze it's even better to me! Easy pickings

does my computer have a virus

It's the forum that might have some spamming bots. If you had a Virus, you had browser windows opening or closing without your permission, unknown errors popping up, slower processing, memory leaks, windows spamming and others. It varies a lot. I can assure you that what you saw is problem of the forum's security and not yours. If you didn't click the ad and allow it to install stuff in your PC, I pretty much guarantee you're safe.

Turret - Hull Modifications and Gameplay

MU's were made for you to spend more crystals than it's really necessary, thus encouraging you to buy crystals. That's the whole point of the implementation of MU's

    epic video

I was unclear at that point. At 0:18/0:20 it's when you should start going fast

    A fact of shaft

No it won't. You just need to reconfigure your PC's shortcut keys and you can eliminate that. You have to go to Start/control panel/keyboard to do it. Shortcut for the window ctrl+F4 if you want to know.

    epic video

The music is too epic for that footage. Meaning that the music craves for action but the some of the video is too quiet so it doesn't match up very well. You should make more and quicker transitions depicting only essential action packed scenes. The best part of the video is between 3:00 and 3:30 because it has fast transitions and a decent amount of action. The music you picked is already agitated in the beginning so you should already have quick paced transitions by then. After 3:30 you should have continued to accelerate the pace but instead you've put a long long clip of a Thunder/Wasp trying to capture a flag, which killed the video in my honest opinion. Some different shots of your Thunder going with the help of some buddies could help but unfortunately, tanki is a very camera limited game for cinematography.

    Railgun Error?

It does full damage, but you don't know when. It's like rolling the dice. Take Rail M0 for instance. Without MUs the damage dealt with it ranges from 54 to 83. Between these 2 numbers there are 29 numbers. Including the 2 extremities (54 and 83) you have a total of 31 numbers. Imagine you're rolling a die with 31 sides with the numbers 54 to 83 written on it. Everytime you take one shot you are rolling the die. You may get lucky or not. You have a 1 in 31 chances of getting that max damage shot. The more you upgrade Rail, the less likely you'll get the full damage shot. Because for each upgrade the bigger is the gap between maximum and minimum damage. M0: gap of 29 numbers M1: gap of 40 numbers M2: gap of 46 numbers M3: gap of 55 numbers

    My Garage without buying crystals

Why do you care? It's my favorite combo! Why would I buy other weapons if I won't use them? If you think I only know how a Rail works, you're wrong. Experience by watching other players using their other tanks and weapons against me teached me enough about them. The guides that float around here enforced me to stick with my Rail and Viking. Allow me to give my reasons: Weapons: >Freeze---\ >Firebird---|----> I like ranged weapons way better than short ranged ones. These are automatically out of the equation >Isida-------/ >Twins----------> Interesting gun and a powerful foe. I played with it before the Rail as I said in my previous post. But its medium range removes much of my interest in it and I quickly got bored with it. Even worse (for those that use it), you can now dodge those plasma shots a lot easier. >Ricochet-----> Medium range takes my interest away. Aparently hard to aim due to moderate recoil. Some shots do not auto aim correctly vertically + plus the still positive ability to dodge some of the shots isn't good news for ricochet users. You can damage yourself. >Smoky-------> Definitely an annoying weapon and feared due to the critical hit but it just doesn't pack the punch I want. Damage also goes down with range. >Thunder------> Fast reload, and a lot of damage, but not damage enough and almost no impact force. Even smoky has higher impact force. You can damage yourself. It now has limited range! Poor Thunders, lucky me! >Shaft----------> You have to stand still to take the shot and you're forced to be in a very narrow field of view. I like camping but I also like to look around and prepare myself when I spot an opponent just about to show on a corner. Useless for flag rush Hulls: Wasp------->High speed, not enough armor Hunter------>Decent speed, not enough armor. Would be my hull of choice if Viking didn't exist Hornet------>High speed, not enough armor Dictator---->decent speed, not enough armor, too big and wide Titan-------->High armor, too slow Mammoth->High armor, painfully slow Why I use Railgun> Huge damage! You can feel the awesome power of the weapon when it charges to fire. Well placed shots and the enormous impact force can temporarily stun medium and light tanks, spining them, throwing them off their course, against a wall, off a bridge/cliff or the map's limits. Able to make all other weapons misfire for a short but sometimes crucial seconds. One shot kills feels good! The 1sec charge before the shot can be useful in a number of situations. Even though it is also considered to be an issue, it can easily be explored against other rails and also avoid being explored by those that try it on you. Unlimited range! Damage isn't reduced with range! Slow reloading is a b***h but there are too many pros for me to consider. Viking>Just the right balance of armor and speed for my taste, that's it Again? I already gave my answer in the bottom of page 2

    A fact of shaft

Sounds like you didn't like the special feature. Unfortunately the correct spelling of my name was already taken at the time. Nothing can fix that, sorry.

    A fact of shaft

It's a special humorous feature of the gun but it can be activated in game. You have to join a battle first, then you press Alt+F4 to activate the feature. I don't know why they didn't add this to the controls list, though
