I climbed to and held a nice rating using nothing but isida. The only thing that really made my rating worse is the fact that I'm barely playing.
-
Isida is my best weapon since I've used it for so long, and my second best is ricochet. I haven't really used anything else in a long time, so I'm probably pretty bad with everything else.
-
Yeah, I like both Emerald and Spark. I want Spark for the protection too, so maybe I'll do that. Instead of buying and upgrading a Viking, as that would be my other plan.
-
My best is a proof-less 515. I'm way too impatient to play anything longer than that, heh.
-
Just curious, are there any paints that look good with ricochet? Not that my better judgment would allow me to buy one, but I just wanna know.
-
Painful. I'm 800 away from an M3 ricochet, without enough time or motivation to earn it. Now who can I trick into buying it for me...?
-
So I'm curious, how is the shaft at M2 and M3? I know it's pretty abysmal below that.
-
@Skitee: It's fun to play for fund! xD Ah, yeah, I don't like it. Mostly for the fact that I don't camp, and it requires a secluded location. I'll stick to my short range weapons, and have fun driving around shafts. Although when they do hit you, it hurts. Powerful, yes it is. Versatile, no.
-
Voted Rock. Because nobody else will, and I need to justify my purchase of it in any way possible. Spark is good as well.

It's a...stupid test to see who will shell out 100k on the first of April?

Mmhmm, I have noticed quite a few of these guys. I guess when they notice how many points they can get from healing, they do that to get to the top of the team because it looks awesome. It irritates me to have several flags captured and still be behind an M1 isida camping in the base. Personally I find isida more suited to charging into the enemy base and using that self heal thing. Or following a powerful tank and keeping it alive as it goes for a flag or something. Either of those are much more useful than camping. But they tend to net fewer points. And more deaths.
-
Ooof. Aside from people who spend far too much money on this game, who would buy this? Crazy. A week of awesome, yeah, sure. I'll stay low for this week of awesome.

Eesh. Upgrade freeze or ricochet? Freeze had been my plan, but more and more I see how annoying it is. It being annoying leads me to look for alternatives, but the only alternative for me would be ricochet. At M2-M3 is ricochet good enough at raiding flags, or do I have no choice but to get a freeze?

This looks interesting. 'Course, there's no way I can be doing this as a clan, so I guess that leaves me with joining someone.

Your Good Times and Bad Times When You're Playing Tanki

The other day I was on an island, close game and all, and there was a guy on the other team with a freeze who was just camping on his flag. It was kinda irritating me, me using isida and all, so then I just started telling him to run into lag, and coincidentally he lagged out of the game a moment later giving my team a chance to pull away. I also grabbed the only orange box I've yet to get from there. -
Definitely in agreement over Silence. Such a lopsided map. Highland, yes, blue does have a bit of an advantage. I've played many games on red, however. For the blue team to get the red flag, they must enter a pen-like area, and it's actually quite easy to stop them unless you're being overrun. Also, when red gets the blue flag, if they can make it across the bridge, it's possible to climb the hill, making the escape much easier. I personally don't think Highland is that unbalanced, but apparently people do. Otherwise I doubt Highland II would be in existence. I'm unsure about Noise. I disliked it from the day it came out and as such have not played it much, so I can't say anything about it.

Would you say isida m0 is good for only healing?

I just got M2 isida yesterday. So far I'm liking it, and plan to both use it and get it to M3 as soon as I can. The thing about the isida is it's probably the hardest to use weapon in the game, so because people are not used to it they think it's bad. M2 isida can take down 90 health in one burst, which is sorta low, but it's manageable. -
Highland was one of my favorite maps. Highland II does remedy some issues from I, such as making the camping spots more accessible. Since I use short range weapons I prefer being able to go in and remove the campers instead of being pinned until someone else takes him out. Personally I like Highland II better than its predecessor, and plan to play it quite a bit.

Loathsome deserters, parkers, prevaricators and punks.

How I loathe these things as well. Suicidals and idlers...eh... However, if I happen to be playing a lengthy CTF, often the only way to victory is to demoralize your opponent until they leave. The game is basically a stalemate, players moving back and forth, and no flags being obtained. Often, once one team pulls ahead into a slight lead, opposing players begin to leave, allowing the remaining team to finally win the game. I basically play CTFs like that, and cannot bring myself to defect once the game has gotten to that point. But those are always games I've been in since the start. If I'm joining a game in progress I always join the trailing team. Final thing: Campers. Gah, they irritate me. On average, they care nothing about their team and merely wish to pad their KDR. Especially on CTFs, it doesn't even help. You can't get a flag if campers on your team make certain your enemies are crammed into their base. -
M1 twins...I personally consider them worse than M0. That's due to the rank they're available at. Twins should be avoided until M3.
-
Twins can only jolt and cause a rail to miss at close to mid range. Not exactly the ideal way to use a rail, I must say. At the extent of the twins range, the shots knock you around almost not at all, so it shouldn't be that big an issue if you keep your distance. Btw, twins at M3 do 6-8 per shot. The ricochet is the one that does 10. Anyway, I'll vote that they're annoying due to the fact that I have gotten much use out of my twins and am using them until I can upgrade my isida.
-
Yeah, that was my main reason for considering upgrading it before my isida. But I decided against that due to the fact that I'd rather hide from rails and have an m2 isida than charge them with m2 tater and still be using twins.
-
Safari... Sorry, due to an inside joke that ballooned out of proportion, I absolutely must get safari, even though I don't like the protections. Glad to hear it helps against rails a decent amount. But I'm grabbing m2 isida first, the probably m2 dictator so I can survive m3 rails, THEN I'll get safari.
-
Rail at M3 is supposed to be able to do that. And if you're using a hornet on camping maps, it's not surprising that you get killed by rails frequently. My suggestion would be a viking, but if you don't want to do that, there's really nothing you could do but upgrade your hornet. And that'd be pretty expensive. Oh yeah, and you could avoid playing on maps where rails excel. I'm currently using twins and an M1 dictator, so M3 rail one shots me almost every time. I just stay away from maps where people use m3 rails. Except highland...I've been playing that map a lot. But most Sergeant Majors won't have rails. Why save up for something awesome when you can get a shiny new weapon right now? /sarcasm
