Hello guys, some people asked me to give info about the new gamemode, because they didn't know how to play it.
Well that's why I made this little helping guide.
CONTROL POINTS (CP)
main info:
control points is the new gamemode added in update 1.100.0. It's main purpose is to capture all the points with your team, to gain points.
for each ten seconds your team is holding one of the points, it will get 1 score.
maps:
Control Points is not available on every map, like the other gamemodes. The amount of points also is different on every map;
Sandbox - 1 points
Wave - 1 points
Monte-Carlo - 3 points
Barda - 3 points
Iran - 4 points
Bridges - 5 points
Kungur - 5 points
Brest - 7 points
creating a battle:
When you create a map, you now can select "control points". Then you can edit two other things: the duration of the round and the score needed to defeat the opposing team. This actually is the same like in CTF. Thus, the winning team is that which manages to score the most number of points in the allocated time, if in the settings of the battle time was a factor.
to capture a point:
If you are nearby a point, a thin line will appear between your tank and the point, this line will allow you to capture a point. Of course you'll get score if the point is captured.
If you want to capture a point alone, it will take you 20 seconds. If the point was already in enemy hands, it will take you 20 extra seconds to capture it. If you try to capture a point with two people, it will only take you 10 seconds, plus the 10 seconds if the point was in eneny hands. Capturing a point with three people will even cost less time, just keep in mind that capturing with more people will be lots easier than capturing alone.
If 1 player of red, and 1 player of blue are trying to capture the point at the same time, the status of the point won't change (picture below)
tips & tricks:
- never try to capture a point on your own, it will take too much time and the enemies can still spawn next to you.
- if the enemy has all points, get your team to capture at least one point and defend that :mrgreen:.
- look at the points that are yours, see when you need to go defend a point or kill the enemies at your points.
- talk with your team, this mode is all about team work.
- protect your points, they are the key to your victory.
- do not stay at one position, that wont help your team .
