I like the construction of both maps; hats-off to the creative developers who made them! They probably contain more data than the older maps, hence the low FPS on some computers.

Splitterpoint, you don't understand the frustration that some of the players (including me) are feeling! A year ago, we were anxiously awaiting the release of Tanki 2.0, expecting that many of the bugs in Tanki 1.0 would be fixed and that the whole game would have a new, clean interface replete with new maps. Tanki promoted it, and raised the expectations of the players. That was cancelled due to developer mismanagement, it appears. Since then, all we've seen is redesigned tanks & "technical upgrades" which are hard to appreciate considering the server-side technical glitches. The new maps are unplayable for many players--I've tweaked my settings, following much of the Forum advice, and when I'm alone in Crash or Gallery I get 25 FPS max; and when 7 other players are on those maps, I have 2 FPS max! (On the other older maps I have 20-30 FPS). So, right now, it looks like the developers haven't done such a good job--or else, those maps are designed only for players with gamer-PC's. (It's true that RAM, graphics cards, CPU's, and internet connections are important. My PC hardware is decent; not high-end.) It's possible that Tanki needs to upgrade its hardware also and adsjust the setting on the servers also... Has anyone seen a picture of Tanki's rack of servers, by-the-way? Now, the good news: Leatrix (http://www.leatrix.com/), which reduces latency has appeared to reduce the lags (with spinning tanks, etc.) that I've been experiencing. Players far away from Russia may find it helpful. I just downloaded and installed it this afternoon, so I'm still testing it...

I get about 5 FPS on both maps when many players are there; alone, I get about 25 FPS. There's a lot of discusion about low FPS on Crash & Gallery; does anybody have solutions for increasing the FPS on those maps? Or, is this something that has to be done by the Tanki developers?

KIlaz, you're a forum troll--bite me.

Cheap, you can kiss me where the sun doesn't shine, fool. These problems that tanki is experiencing have been going on for more than a year!! Keep waiting; most of us have been, and the technical glitches have not been solved at all. Furthermore, *****, my when I post about the unneccessary technical glitches, I am angry and I should be--so don't worry about my venom a-hole. By-the-way, I have made some complimentary posts to Tanki also, jerk. As for my dog; she's dead 'cause I broke my foot off in her ass...

Well, well, well. It was just a little more than a year ago when I wrote a complaint about technical bugs and MD21 was a moderator defending the Tanki admin. Haha...

This game is a joke! Sometimes it works; sometimes it doesn't. Loading takes forever, and the new maps give 2-10 fps (good job idiots). If you play Tanki regularly, you will experience annoying and unnecessary technical problems. After playing this game for quite a while, I've decided that the Tanki staff (including the owners) are not investing the money they collect in such a way as to provide optimal player experience. They should upgrade their hardware, for example. (And don't come at me with that "You can play tanki for free" shyte.) I'm looking forward to the day when someone takes this concept of mmog tank warfare and gets it right. In the meantime the jerks who work here at tanki can......

Great maps!! I get 2 fps. Keep up the good work tanki...

Story [Issue 2] Legend Of Sparky: Chapter 1 The Invitation

Keep up the good work, Cablaz! -
I'm going to say this one more time: Something must be done about unscheduled server updates (I'm not talking about the once-every 24 hrs. server reset). They happens unpredictably, usually early a.m., and it is very frustrating when it happens in the middle of a battle! And, I'm not trying to hear someone from Tanki admin tell me that it's a game and so get over it. Players deserve better service and Tanki should buy some state-of-the-art servers. P.S.: My pc is fine and so is my internet connection.

The server updates are often unpredictable; they sometimes happen during the middle of a good battle, not just at the scheduled time; that's the point. And, if you're going to advance in this game, dummy, you're going to shell-out some bucks, trust me. So, stop talking about how "free" it is. And, sure Tanki players have other stuff to do, and they do it when they're not playing Tanki, o.k. And, since paying customers deserve good service, Tanki Admin should cut the crap and purchase some state-of-the-art servers!!

Right. I think the higher FPS requires more data to processed, and that somehow slows the speed of the tank from point A to point B.
-
Yeah, yeah, "hardware acceleration"?
Bravo2600 replied to Bravo2600 in Yeah, yeah, "hardware acceleration"? Archive
So now tanki players have more FPS, more clarity; yeah. BUT, the tanks move slower than before! How about fixing that, tanki admin!!! -
its settings -.- O.K., I see it-- settings>display and a checkbox labeled "enable hardware acceleration". Thanx.

Maya, you should check your pc hardware: RAM, CPU, and internet connection. The problems you're having are probably caused by insufficient RAM and/or slow internet connection. (For example, an adequate hardware configuration would be 4GB RAM, Pentium 4 or better CPU, and a enhanced DSL internet connection.)
