I want this game got paid!

Pretty off-topic' date=' But No supply games FTW <3[/quote']

Unfortunately 'No supplies battles' are very rare. I've bought monthly subscriptions in vain. For 26 servers you can barely find 3-4 battles at all. Tired of login/logoff to search these games.

Unfortunately too, 'No supply battles' does not solve the problem with mults either.

-----

EDIT: Just got an idea - why don't developers create a third option - 'No Jackpot battles'. That is! Play for fun and for the joy of winning, without the need for crystal jackpot reward distribution and crystal drops, other drops available. OMG! This type of game will be forever free of mults! That is the solution!

----

Just stop whining and keep it to yourself. If you want to play better quality games then just buy crystals with real money' date=' get all m3 instead of making people pay for the game. Life is going to be unfair. Try to make it fair for everyone not just you :XD: [/quote']

When presumption is wrong, the conclusion is too. Believe it or not but I don't play for crystals. In fact I don't care for crystals at all. I play for fun, but these greedy mults are there to spoil the fun of the game with their sabotage.

How would paying monthly fees stop MULTs anyway?

The sad truth is developers will never have control over the mults. It is not practically possible. Just curious - how would you catch me if I use 1+5 accounts, the latter hosted by virtual machines, utilizing different emails in addition to different browsers pick, and routed through different VPNs? Don't even bother to answer - it is not practically possible. Yeah, I can play easily myself with other 5 virtual myselves.

Remedy, however, is pretty easy. How many do you think will continue to support multiple dummy accounts, if they have to pay monthly fee for these accounts? Would you? Think twice before answer.

MULT practice can be drastically reduced by 95+ % if one has to pay monthly fee for each of his accounts.

That would be free of everyone, not just mults.

I think that the main point here is that because of MULT and ISIDA hack cheats - you can work hard and be skillful for an hour or 2 in a single game, NEARLY get to the point of winning a satisfying amount of crystals, then some hack (or organised team of cheats) come in and steal it all in 10 minutes.

I can not understand fair-minded players who attempt to justify this atrocious situation. Every time it is raised however; mark my words - someone attempts to defend it.

This is of course theft, and although I understand that there are only a finite number of developers etc - it would be better for the devs to concentrate on making the game more cheat-proof, than making it look prettier (e.g. 'snow' maps etc).

As a software developer - I favour 'function' over 'form' any day (better it being ugly and works - rather than pretty and only 'looks like it works' and /or has major bugs).

If the map system works like others (such as Unreal Tournament) then the map is formed out of a 'solid' block - it should not have 'space' inside a building to enable 'sprites' (tanks) to enter. Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong with that (different with 'Flash'?), if I'm not wrong - who designed these maps and took the large amount of extra effort to form spaces inside buildings; and for what reason?

The MULT cheating is SIMPLE to solve - no problem - no huge outlay, simple logic can 'catch-out' 90% of this, and even automatically warn / ban players that do it (so little manual employee intervention will be required).

This MULT and ISIDA hack cheating is endemic in TANKI - no-one can argue against that (I experience it in probably 75% of all maps I play). And yes - it massively detracts from the enjoyment of an otherwise great game. I could enjoy it 100%, but due to cheats - I enjoy it only 25%: what a waste.

It seems to me that maybe the UK has a different culture of 'fair play'. If this game was being run by a UK company - the company would have been investigated by now by Trading Standards due to the kids being ripped-off (by the cheats - not by TANKI Online).

The company would then be forced to re-evaluate their 'priorities'.

Look at it another way: if I could get the funding, and developed and released a similar game (with good cheat traps etc) - which game do you think the 8 million members would play - mine or TANKI?

It make's good business sense to sort this mess out, but somehow; such cheating does not seem to be a priority to TANKI Online.

(And by that, I mean PRIORITY; 'snow' maps are definitely not a feature that I would regard as more important than anti-cheat measures).

It would be a real boon for TANKI Online if it gained more UK / European players, alas - with it's reputation - that will not change anytime soon.

That's my penneth-worth (and for the sake of TANKI Online - because I really do like this game).

As for becoming a paid game; I don't agree - the balance from that perspective is good as it is (I do pay for crystals anyway - my choice), allowing others to not pay if they wish is a good business model.

RedSlayer

Do you have something against hackers? Lemme tell you something buddy. Hackers and modders work hard. They work their asses off. I know, because I have a JTAG'd Xbox 360. It takes time. They are not "Lazy" as people blindly put it. Anyway, the whole point of modding/hacking is to make the game more fun.

Now, onto more pressing affairs.

I personally don't care one way or the other about this game becoming a subscription game. I buy. I don't think subscription would affect me. Before you spring into action and say "Snob!", I do recognize that younger people could not afford to pay subscription rates. (Political Correctness- restored =D)

If this game were to become a subscription game, I think that people who already have accounts should not have to pay, only new members. Believe me, I hate mults like any other player. This game is my only video game I can play online, as a JTAG'd Xbox 360 can only be played offline or you get banned. I'm going to buy a second Xbox tomorrow. Anyway, I don't want to see this game ruined.

Just my opinion...

I agree too, the only thing it would do is ruin the game for many

so, you elude to a simple resolution to the problem of mults, yet provide no solution. please feel free to elaborate on your comment and enlighten us all with your simple logic.

Mokpama_rapra, can I ask you three questions:

1. Do you seriously think that tanki would make a profit if it suddenly became a paid game?

2. What percentage of the active tanki playerbase do you think will quit the game if it switched to becoming a paid game?

3. With such a vast fall in members, how would tanki be able to regain their popularity as their main target audience (young teenagers who prefer browser-based to console games and can't pay much cash, if any, into the game) will be gone?

I agree with all the people who say Multing is a big issue, but has to be solved in other ways. More serious bans would be a start.

1. yes if implemented in the correct way. see below.

2. 0%. see below.

3. no drop at all in players. see below :)

we have 24 (bad) servers at the moment (or partitions on a server ...but thats a whole new thread!)

it would be quiet plausible for the devs to make 10 servers, subscription only servers. say 5 servers for drug only battles and 5 for NS. this would give people more options.

different game play options and different payment options.

the other servers could remain as they are. i dont see any draw backs to this proposal at all.

i would like the option of a subscription based service to erode the number of mults in a the game. thou not eradicating them totally it would reduce the numbers by far.

I had never thought of this before, but it certainly sounds like a good idea. I don't like the NS and drug ideas (what's the point of drugs if everyone else is going to be using them as well?), but certainly a few subscription-only servers would be a good thing.

The dangers of that and what must be avoided is if tanki then decide to implement a runescape-style "Membership" with vast amount of benefits on those subscription-only servers: a few, like testing weapons a week in advance, or a couple of extra maps, yes; but not too many, otherwise that will lead people away from the free servers.

all drugs batlles are what i play the game for. i take no pleasure from using drugs in a game to waste a load of drugless nubs. the best games to be found are when all players use drugs in a battle (and know how to drug). these games are harder to find than rocking horse sh*t. a server for the abuse of drugs would be a winner for me, as i am sure the NS players would agree likewise.

Probably all right for you, but not for me - I take a lot of pleasure from using drugs in a game to "waste a load of drugless nubs".
