[Idea] Tanki Online Radio.

I posted this on Feedback, but seeing how nobody checks feedback, I'm gonna post it here as well.

 

Okay guys, I thought - wow, it'd be cool if there was a player-run tanki radio station. You can easily form these online, for info e.g. http://www.wavestreaming.com/solutions/how-to-start-an-internet-radio-station

 

What we could do is the TO team could get some DJs from the community to apply, the same way they do mods, and get info (e.g. number of songs, range of songs, age etc) and make them DJs. There could also be tiny competitions on the radio, with the DJs allowed to give tiny amounts of crystals (max 1000, normally about 50) for people who win small battles or competitions organised on the radio.

 

The DJs could have their own section of the forum and sort out times to do a show... there doesn't need to be a show 24/7 at all, maybe only on air for a couple of hours a day at first. But it'd be great, and a great way to communicate.

 

So... whaddya think? This idea could be tested on the Russian side first before coming over to the English side, I think, or even use one station for all of us - it'd be cool to listen to Russian music for us - and vice-versa.

 

What's your opinon? Good, bad, what? Potential problems with the idea? Would you listen to the radio if it was implemented?

Or you could get a text messaging service on the forum, sort of like on facebook. That way people could be more connected on the forum and even know when certain battles were happening. I text a lot but i dont know about you guys...

they could say who is going on and when, and you could talk about it and say who is good who is bad and who should be a DJ.

Imagine if three people wanted to do a show at the same time... there'd have to be an organised schedule etc, which can be done on a separate forum section. That is an unimportant issue though.

After Russian, English is the second-most-spoken language in tanki. We can't have a radio for every language - I just suggested an English one.
