I say keep the gold box. Its really fun. I got lucky loads of times. Got bout 25-28 golds so far with viking in all cases and never freeze. I don't wait for it, rather just move around. If u want it then don't camp. For some reason gold doesn't usually fall if u r right in the drop zone. And in ctf games gold ususally falls after a flag capture.

Never remove the gold! I think gold need to be usualy not 1 time in 2 hours. and I think than theare should be warning in battle ''Gold box Arlarm!'' :P :D

I hate the gold box.

Reason: In battles, when the fund reaches 690, everyone stops fighting, they team up, pause the flag, all crowd around the place where it/they (Gold boxes) fall, and sabotage, shoot teamates, and the chat is suddenly filled with lots and lots of text, some english: Please can i have it? Others: No kill ok? and it ruins the whole base of the game. Also it causes stress and pissing players off when hackers get them, and some of the smaller kids end up in teers when they are so close to getting one but miss it.

They should take it out it ruins the whole point of game.

 

Nah, don't get rid of it. Instead, make it more plentiful and allow them to fall at random, and not just at predictable intervals. Make it also like capturing the flag. IDEA: Once you take it, your tank becomes vulnerable to fire from BOTH sides. Now you must reach a certain destination in order to keep it. I would call that fair.

I happen to like the idea of a free for all when the thing drops out of the sky. It goes to show just how mankind could care less about others and more about the money eh? And I'm not sure what higher rank players have to do with it. I have taken gold boxes away from them myself once or twice. It's all a matter of ' 'overpowering' and how bad ya want it.

Make it completely random, heck you can add 10s 50s and 100s to fall in all over the map, problem would be solved. Just don't make it get stuck on the top of the building - that would be annoying as hell.

 

Gold is generally a good thing but it does attract gold diggers who will ruin a game by camping in one stupid spot, such as a tunnel in Iran.

No, people should learn to defend while, camping for Gold and Got one. In SIlence I defended a ramp with an already camping isida. and took out many ppl. and even used Thunder splash so Isida could get healing points and then I had to leave after wards.

That's exactly the reason why it shouldn't exist. It interfere's with the game's progress, you and all of them sitting around defending waiting for a gold, while the rest of the team suffers.

Gold box? Removed? I think that is a horrible idea. A better idea is to make is back at the 700 battle fund. At the 700 people would camp and drug, but only for that small time, now people are joining games and not even helping their team. I do this, I am a gold box camper and I agreed that it should be adjusted but NOT removed. And the newbies DON'T need the golds especially with the re balance because the newbies are noobs and will waste the gold on worthless paints or guns. I personally HATE it when a noob gets a gold, it's just a waste of a gold that someone could of NEEDED!! But I do like the idea of banned gold hunters, and if they gold hunt they should at least kill people or heal their team depending on what weapon they use. I think it shouldn't get removed but it should go back to the 700 battle fund and that will help control gold box campers! ;)

In the heat of the battle at Silence II a gold box fell on me, which was good because I put it toward the new hull I was saving my crystals for. I do not have a lot of money to throw around, and was not aware that there were designated "drop sites". Now that I am aware of this I have a choice to either make note of these drop sites and wait for the famed box, leaving my team mates in a one less tank streingth situation, or consider the final outcome of the battle to serve the entire body of the team...I have been in battles, were nobody is working together (win or loose) and out for themselves... "There is nothing like finishing a battle with a team that has worked hard together." That kind of accomplishment can never be taken away from you...As for those who sit and wait for crystal boxes, as well as gold boxes...That is the choice they make. I will not go out of my way to grab a crystal box, or gold box...If I run into one or the other, then all the better for my equiptment upgrades. "The real tanki spirit will never die". Those of us who injoy the TEAM effort, far out number those who don't...

The Gold box, a box that sets newbies into rich people, and the rich people into selfish tankmen.

 

I think the gold box really needs to be removed from Tanki Online. Why? That is just because the rich people will take it anyway. The Gold Box has become an obsession for rich people to rule the game and set it to their hand, but I think this should be ended! Also I think the spirit of the friendly tankmen fighting as a team will be broken; everyone pushes eachother, and the newbies don’t get a good chance to take the Gold Box. I also think that the rules should be updated to that waiting for the gold box will be punished hardly and not be counted as sabotage. I think this should be punished as Gold Box sabotage that gets punished for a week.

The newbies should get a better chance for getting gold boxes, because they are the persons in need of it, and not the marshals. I think that in battles that are for Warrant Officer 1 and lower, should get the Gold Box at every multiple of the battle fund of 500, because they are in need of the crystals. I also want to let the developers create a button, that determines if the gold box falls or not. I think this will get the spirit of Tanki Online as a friendly Tanks game where you can play as a team, and win as a team!

First you said you think they should get rid of the gold box then after that you think they should punnish everyone who camps for it ..

so did you change your mind somewhere? get rid of it, update to waiting for it? I don't know where you r going with this because it would make the spirit of millions of people mad instead of friendly if they did that I kind of agree about newbs getting more gold but how would they do that if they got rid of them all??? and also those lower than warrant officer 1 but Hello! no gold box??? and yes the button to know if the gold box has fallen yet... what's the gold writing that pops up everytime one drops??? oh yeah to keep you from pushing a button while your trying to not get destroyed I think they should add more Gold Boxes more secret hidden places to look for them and maybe a once a month platnum box drop .. or how about if you found a gold box but when you touch it instead of it disapear you disapear and respawn in a hidden gold mine where you better have something to make you go faster because you only have 15 seconds to collect as many as you can get before you go back to the map. that's a better idea than taking away you add to improve not remove to improve.

i both support and dismiss this idea

sure it gives the rich somting to look forward to but they are really taking away the poor newblings ability to buy better gear to even compete taking thier fun and joy away

to solve this problem i suggest keeping the gold box..but making it 500 crystals instead of 100

in addition making it easier for newblings and weaklings to gain crystals by:

1. out of every so many box drops having 10 crystals instead of 1 inside it

2. a personal battle fund for each player to gain win or lose..(with a bonus for the best like usual battle fund)

2 cont. this would give players crystals for what they have done in the battle if somone were to defend thier teams flag alot and retrieve it from the enemy but thier team still loses and they get nothing for thier hard work...entirely unfair (in my opinion). this would work like:

CTF: 2 for retrieving the flag, 5 for capturing we get exp for doing those y not a lil crystal too?

TDM-DM: 1 for every point u put on the board

CP: .......i dont really play CP so idk how that would work

3. the ability to sell unwanted old equipment(not for 100% refund mind u just like 75-80%)<---i would kill for this i have quite a bit of unwanted equip lol

4. downgrading ability for 50% refund....or selling upgraded equip for 75-80% of total spent on the upgrades works either way

anyway those are my ways to solve the newbie need funds delema and hopefully settles certain aspects about the gold boxes
