New Lag

Ok so today I was logging on with chrome and fine and all until, i join a battle, about halfway into the loading process, a window came up saying that Adobe Shockwave flash had crashed. So, after about 1/2 hour messing around with the flash and updating it, i got back on, it said it crashed again, then i looked up why it was crashing, and i did what the advice told me(I had to disable the direct adobe program from the Google Chrome data.) No more crashes; i had to re-login and reset all my tanki online settings again, no big deal so i said whatever. and i got on and im driving my tank and suddenly, it feezes for a few seconds, and again and again. and all this time im looking at the FPS and its higher than normal (Normal: 15-25 FPS) But this was like 35- 40 FPS and im like: "WHAT THE ****!! IT SAYS 40!" And the real fps (By my opinion) was about 5 fps. And i do know adobe had a huge update with its shockwave and all. but WTFH!

 

Does anyone have an answer to explain this? Please.

I have the same problem. :( Ask the developers. I don't have a solution yet, and I will play around with some updates and programs and see if I can weed out the problem.

and then now i just saw that adobe just updated the new shockwave, i downloaded it and enabled the adobe shockwaves, still has the problem

It always lags for me :evil: Even more on Google Chrome then on FireFox :shock:

Chrome works fine for some people apparently, and some people's chrome's crash.

 

Also, after the new updates lag is even worse. I used to be able play normal maps like silence and massacre with 30 FPS. Now its down to 11 FPS.

 

And massacre map sucks now. The map is totally uneven, red team has disadvantage and its the least popular map now. Bring back the old one please!

Me too- but loading the standalone version of flash player worked great. Excellent frame rate values again. See this link: http://forum.tankionline.com/posts/list/1180.page

 

You want the Projector version. It's not an install package, it just runs from the file you download. Just start it, then click File> Open and copy & paste a server link (contained in the above link- just select one server only, not all of them) into the box. Excellent!

I have the same problem with this lag!

 

It is driving me to the breaking point! :evil:

 

Why?

 

Because the jumpy FPS rate...is also VERY apparent on the smallest maps!

And even moreso on the larger maps (especially Iran and Wolfenstain)

 

Something has to be done about this, I can hardly play if at all.

 

(I also notice that sometimes the whole Tanki site itself crashes...even the Forum.)
