What if...

 

They are very close to eachother, and the splash of the thunder hurts the player itself:

 

Ricochet wins, unless the player is smart enough to push the space for self-destructing.

They aren't near eachother and the ricochet can not even hit the thunder yet:

 

Of course the thunder wins, and if the thunder walks backwards, he won't even have any damage.

I like ricochet for its great DPS. although the range limits it but if your enemy has no protection against you and is fairly close, you can mow him/her down. :)

obviously rico wins more than thunder and more usable in more maps...but if the rico is out of shooting range then thunder wins...but that rarely happens anyway

Likely due to the very team itself, not the individual tank...

 

Anyways, I have neither gun, but it is fair for me to say that although Thunder m3 is extremely powerful, it could not last against a Ricochet m3 in a one on one fight.
