[Guide] Rail Gun

Hello, I hope this guide be useful to you guys.

First of all and what you need to know it’s using the RAIL GUN means sniping

Price =

m0 100 crystal at rank staff sergeant.

m1 350 crystal at rank Master sergeant.

m2 1100 crystal at rank first sergeant

m3 3700 crystal at rank sergeant-major

Total 5250

Pros :

Following is a m3 RAIL GUN

• one shot equals one Kill on most of low rank tank with a Duple Power it’s a Kill to even high rank tanks or m3 low Rank Tank

• stealing kills is very easy

• the shot of the RAIL GUN is very thin so it can go to small places & gaps and can be shot from very small place

• the rail gun charges before launching a shot ! you got less then 1.1 second when pressing the ( Space Bar ) and launching the shot, go out when your weapon is almost shooting with that the chance of you getting hit is while u shoot is minimum.

• a cheap low rank weapon can make it m3 in few amount of crystal ( 5250 )

• you can keep using it to the (liut ranks ) that give you a huge time to get crystals

• time your hit exactly when you see a Drugger using his health pack one shot from your rail and his drugs are history.

• Rail shot can go through tank put that into good use.

• find your point of effect and don’t leave it,example (silence blue team near the antenna)

 

Cons :

• take time to reload

• if you are facing a freeze and you missed ( by freezing affection ) he will win.

• Attacking enemy flag is not so affective.

 

Things to Remember:

1: your powerful rail gun can flip your tank or you can use it to land perfectly from a high jump

2: never go out of cover until the rail gun is about to shoot.

3: don't attack enemy flag

4 :find your point of effect

5: kill stealing is never been easier, just wait until enemy get hit once or twice then strike him.

6: your shot can go through tanks try to hit more then one target.

7: avoid twins and smoky ricochet thunder shoots they make you miss.

8:rail gun damage changes depending on the shot position best shooting position is to hit your enemy from above it will deliver a great damage then a normal hit !

9: hit the enemy druggers when they are just using their health pack.

 

Tactics:

1: (Camper) you find your spot among your team a spot that you can reach enemy from many places and stay there and snipe, using double power and with little use of mines behind you for extra protection works good with mammoth and Viking.

2: (A.s.a.p.) No specific spot keep on moving and shooting with your rail recommend using the help of nitro for fast movement, works good with hornet and it’s good to with Viking.

3: (attacker) although this is not recommended but sometimes it work using full drugs you can go through enemy and take flag if you cross half of the way to the enemy flag without being spotted or taking any damage, you might be able to grab their flag works good with Viking and hornet .

 

 

Camping with rail gun :

Example i will take silence map :

on red team you are up and your enemy is lower then you near the antenna you can use double power and put mines behind you in case your enemy reached you, you can go out and shoot every few seconds with double power its a kill with every shot, shoot them get back in cover quickly, don’t go out unless your gun about to shoot.

 

Using Rail gun in Death matches

If you join a Dm choose a battle that your rail fits for it here is the following options for good Dm’s where rail can be a dangerous weapon.

1: polygon : this map is my favorite in rail using the hull Mammoth in it you don’t need to move much so just hide behind one of the buildings or go to the highest point in polygon and hit the targets that already taken damage for an easy kill, drugging is awesome with mammoth in polygon if you’re behind a building Use Double power and hit them then go back to cover quickly hit low health tanks for an easy kill Viking does a good job to but if you have mammoth why to use Viking ? Mammoth provides extra health.

Highland: use Hornet in this map why? because hornet hull is to small and there is one place in highland that only hornets can reach its covered from every were only one way out, hit and hide however highland map is not the best choice for rail.

 

Things to remember in Dm matches:

1: hit the targets that already taken damage.

2:don’t move around much find your spot and don’t leave it.

3: make sure you chose a battle that fits to your level.

4: hit the small health tanks (wasp- hunter-hornet- low level dictator)

 

 

 

Tricks with Rail :

1: using rail when jumping from a higher ground will prevent your tank from flipping.

2: in case your tank flipped sideways aim rail to the flipped side and shoot, you will flip back to normal.

3: move your tank backwards when shooting with rail so your shot go high and reach high targets.

4: move your tank forward when your about to launch a shot, so your shot go low and reach low targets ( if you are standing on a higher ground )

 

combinations :

dictator and rail gun : the best combination for this medium caliber weapon a fast and high turret position give you speed and cable ability of shooting high targets

viking and rail gun : a moderate combination a good speed and a nice turret position in the back of the tank .

Hornet and rail gun : this combination is not balanced high speed and a powerful rail gun shot will flip your tank more times then you can count you will be easy target to flip so I don’t suggest using hornet with rail .

Mammoth and rail gun : its good in polygon you don’t need to move much so mammoth provides extra health how ever, in medium size maps such as sandbox and in big maps such as tribute, mammoth is not the best choice.

 

Railgun & hornet : although I don’t find this combination (fits) im making this just to satisfy the rail hornet fans,

Advantages :

1 : speed and power = hit and run.

2:hard for enemy rails to get a shoot on you if you are constantly moving .

3: works good in big maps.

[Tactics :

Hit and run : with speed and a powerful railgun damage in large spaces you can move quickly and hit them on sight then take cover to the nearest building wall etc ,also in big maps and if you get lucky with a clear way to a enemy flag its hard for them to return it with your nitro armor.

Things to remember on this combination :

• Watch out when you are shooting & moving same time if you face a ramp you may flip!

• Try to get your hands on enemy flag then drug nitro armor.

• Avoid any direct contact with freeze.

• Hornet mass is 1000 that’s pretty low for a tank so enemy ricochet-thunder- twins –smoky make you miss try to hit them without getting hit your self (shoot before leaving cover).

^^This. How about focusing on one aspect of railgun (e.g. sniping with rail-viking; Capturing flags; Camping with rail-mammoth) and give a full and complete list of how to play using it, rather than attempting to summarise railgun in 500 words, which hardly gives such a complicated weapon justice?

:thumbdown: You play railgun for d/l.... In 3 minutes you can easily get about 20-30 kills with railgun in silence if you stop caring about d/l and go for kills.... You get about 1-3 d/l but it's effective.

It gets more points and does more for the team, so yes. By suicide, of course, I don't mean one who holds delete... I mean one who isn't afriad of dying and is willing to risk death to gain more kills and attack enemies in their own base.

He's right! After reading your complete guide I'd like to comment on what you wrote... (I'll try to keep it short :))

Having used this combo for an extended period of time now and all I can say is that it's EPIC!! In terms of revenue even more epic than Isida.

I'm a less than 10 K from being a General and still on top of most games with this combo. Will most definitely be playing with this combo till I reach being a Marshal. My motto is 'stick with one combo and learn all there is to it', you will be paid out in crystals :)

To me this would be very boring. Just move forward, use cover, dance around, dodge bullets, help team mates, make way, kill, get flag, get killed, start over...

More then effective if you ask me. I'm a flagger myself, nearly all my (offensive) actions are either to go for the flag or back up your team while going for it. You mentioned Railgun is a sniper weapon, well try to use it as a assault weapon for a change. You will be amazed!

 

Personally, I love to use Railgun mid to short ra(n)ge..

simply avoid shoots of Rico smoky will make you miss dozens of times twins is ok because you can handle it but still you will miss so try to avoid ( their shots )

I don't know, you tell me what my rating should be at this moment. Being superior is in my eye's not related to rank, but skills, experience and tactics are. Where as you might have a higher D/L than my, when I win and take the crystals my rating probably raises while yours drops. That's how this game is balanced (SQRT(experience_points*(kills/deaths))+(earned_crystals)/200)!

Don't we all play for fun? I do! Fun indirectly enhances my skills and tactics. I go out there and try, because the more versatile a player uses his gun the more he owns and adapts to certain situations. It happens to be that I like attacking and capturing the flags the most. It works, in fact it's epic, that's why I felt the urge to reply to your topic since you advice against it in your guide.

 

So I read you have tried attacking with Railgun and it failed. Well, don't expect it to go right the first time. Rome wasn't build in one day, was it?

By stating it like that, you make it sound like you are a one man army. You're not! Use your team, and I don't want to sound repetitive, but...... just move forward, use cover, dance around, dodge bullets, help team mates, make way, block, kill, get flag, kill some more, get killed, start over... (of course most in a strategically well considered manner 8) )

 

And in case of the Freeze and Isida guarding the flag. Use your advantage, which is distance. Know where you are coming from, or can escape to in case they advance on you and of course take them both out. This way It sounds like a though job, but it isn't as long as the rest of your team isn't hiding behind a wall near home base :lol:
