I think I figured out how to to eradicate the flag stealing cheaters.

One particular situation that I witnessed made me think why the banning is so fruitless. So I am playing on Sandbox II arena, me and the other guy on the blue team and three guys on the red team. The red team had a player ranked Captain with a Freeze positioned by the red flag which didn't move but he was positioned in such way that you couldn't pass him without being frozen when he fired. Th red team also had a Twin and and a sergeant Smoky. So we are playing, me and the other guy just can't take the red flag (we didn't use the full set of drugs once, just the airdrops) but of course we kill reds a lot. The fund is slowly growing but the weird thing is, the Freeze doesn't move a tall unless of course after being killed. It just looks like the guy is doing something and doesn't really have time to play. The crystal fund grows to approximately around 70 crystals, we are getting away with a score of red flags (the red team has at this point 0) when suddenly the Smoky on the red team starts stealing flags by a dozen. At this point I decide that it's not worth of staying anymore and leave the game. Naturally I got a screenshot and the guy (Smoky) got reported him and banned. But than I stated to think about what was happening and I came to a conclusion that the Smoky was just a puppet. So why would a guy create an account just to have it banned? The main reason why we see so many cheaters is because we have a reference system in place, where if somebody reference a "friend" he will get a share of his winnings. I don't know how much exactly you get as I haven't referenced anyone myself but I imagine if it's worth going through the troubles of creating fake accounts it's worth something good. Just think of it as a pyramid scheme: imagine a marshal who has linked a couple of general accounts, who have a couple of major accounts who have a couple of warrants accounts who have a couple of sergeants accounts. The last ones are created daily, steal the gaming funds, get banned and created daily again. Can you imagine how much crystals this scheme brings everyday to the account on the top? I bet a lot. And the best thing is, the account on the top gets the dough meanwhile not risking to get exposed and banned.

 

So here is my proposal. The reference system should work but if any three of your references get banned, your account will get suspended as well. I think it's fair to say, that if just one referencer is suspended it's just a bad luck, two - the mods and admins should take a notice and three automatically means that you out because it's just too much of a coincidence.

 

I would like to hear the input from forum administration about this proposal as well from the players themselves.

imagine if you were a good general ranked player and you invite 3 of your friends who then hack...then you would get permaban for something you didnt know your stupid friends did

 

then you would kill your friends and cry all day...

Learn your facts, the referral system does not have a "pyramid effect" and you do not get any person's earnings. The referral system gives 10% crystals when one of your referrals BUYS them. Now quit jumping to conclusions and like I said, shut up and play the game. You don't like hackers? Make a freaking private battle play with your freaking friends. Oh I'm sorry you don't have any.
