Will post a revised version only upon request by forumers. And remember Active Crystal Harvesting is only legal Deathmatch and Deathmatches only... Doing so in any Team Games (TDM, CTF, CP) is same as multing and sabotage.

It is perfectly legal, there is nothing wrong with collecting the blue crystal boxes.

 

Otherwise, what are they there for?

I can't believe the TO is so dumb their algorithm will block crystal collectors -- the real cheaters can take the game fund only if they get the highest score (experience points) in the game/team. And that's what happens if you keep capturing the flags for example.

 

So why would crystals without experience be something suspicious.

 

I do crystal harvesting too, fortunately I also play at least some games in a day too :)

 

However, that makes me wondering, is Tanki Online more concerned about players getting crystals (not buying) than players cheating in the games. That does make sense, since this a business projects that looks like a game. :twisted:

Crystal Harvesting is the activity of running around and trying to get as many little Blue Boxes as you can in battle.

 

Crystal Harvesting in this thread will be referred to solely as "The activity of collecting and fighting for crystals boxes on the battlefield WITHOUT any of the following":

 

1) Using any Cheats/Hacks to steal all crystals unfairly leaving other genuine players no chance at grabbing them

2) Solely collecting crystals during Team Death Match or Capture The Flag events and not assisting your team at all (or very little) in battle

• -->Also known as Sabotage (inactivity in the game and helping the enemy to win) , Point 1.6 of rules

3) Begging others not to kill you so you can keep on collecting undisturbed thus denying them of a good kill. (Also against the rules)

 

 

Crystal Harvesting can be achieved WITHOUT any of the above and Fairly during game play.

Crystal Harvesting does involve Fighting and Killing for crystals on the battlefield.

Crystal Harvesting does require some skills and patience to be effective.

Crystal Harvesting can be thought of as an alternative approach to the WAR in Tankionline, i.e. sacrificing yourself harvesting crystals in battle to be able to buy the next upgrade/weapon/hull or usable kits for a better fight in the next more important battle.

Crystal Harvesting can be thought of as the Little Brother of Gold Hunting, just like Smoky is to Thunder :D

 

 

Unfortunately the down side of Crystal Harvesting is that your game statistics alters significantly. The trend would be less kills, more death, slower experience/rank progression, but nevertheless crystals still coming in the garage after each fight. This, if am not wrong, might have a severe consequence on your account when it passes through the "Hackers/Cheaters Algorithm" recently set up by Tankionline as an initiative to rid the game of the widespread of cheaters out there in our community.

 

 

So in your opinion, is Crystal Harvesting Legal or Illegal ?? Should Players be banned for such an activity ??

Bear in mind that crystal boxes are there to be grabbed for use in your garage and not for decorative purpose on the battlefield.

 

Your opinions are most welcomed as well as clarifications from moderators where necessary.

To be a practical way to capture Balgchashin

For example, portrayed battles and submit them to the place dedicated to monitor the hacker and cheaters and immediately be banned

Either way this crystal harvesting process is expected to play players playing clean, but they are skilled

 

Personally, I stopped my account two days to a line crystal, but thank God came back today and I hope that serious measures are taken to stop the hacker and cheaters like my suggestion

Farming is legal in every single online game their is so what is the issue here, after all they pick up a few crystals we get a mess of kills who cares if the run around with thier heads chopped off screaming money is falling from the sky why are you guys fighting?

I read the post the algorthim is double from the norm so I would think they calcualted that beside it's not like the actually pick up a "ton" of crystals.

All of us have been newbies at one time or the other. When only 50 crystals were left to buy that M2 railgun, when you get into the battle in the hope of being in the winning team and getting some crystals, when every single crystal drop was essential for our budget..... those were the days :lol: . What we didn't know then was that everyone else was suffering from our ineffectiveness in the battle meaning that when we collected those few crystals that fell from the sky, we were selfish enough not to consider the fact that our team was losing because of us. Most of these players do this from ignorance, they need Tanki education before they get into trouble.

 

This is sabotage and against the Tanki rules. Such punishable offenses are almost impossible to detect without the help of a mod. :( Its always best to report to a mod in the forum if this occurs.

 

The algorithm is against cheaters only! This is a separate offence altogether.
