shaft is overpowered

fter being shot dead multiple times without the ability to reply most people just quit; and they should.

If you cant' kill shaft go kill somebody else :lol:

AFAIK, there are 3 different game modes -- DM, TDM, CTF.

There isn't a game mode Kill The Shaft (KTS) :P

 

... And if two or three shafts are present in the game - well, let's just say you might as well be naked, and fighting a whole rugby team by yourself.

 

.. What is needed is a paint that could shield at least 70-80% of zoom damage, or a more permanent solution - zoom damage has to be reduced.

The same way we could ask 80% protection against thunder, railgun, freeze, ricochet ... whats the point.

Right, we all would like all opponents driving M0 Wasp+Smoky only :P

 

As every other weapon, shaft has its strengths and weaknesses. Have you seen shaft on the Island?

The experience is what protects you from shaft :wink:

the main thing that is OP on shaft is its one hit kill, if a thunderfreezerico attacks u , u can still deal some damage to him, but shaft? the moment u pop out ur gone, and the ONLY thing in the tanki world that can take on a m3 shaft no drugs is a m3 mammoth, even then its only 20 hp left easy kill

Oh come on, now you should get real... No amount of experience can protect you against sheer power of 180 HP, only invisibility!

You are looking only at the damage per shot. It's just not that simple.

Get shaft and rule the game ... if you can. :P

 

PS! For shaft most of the tanks on the battlefield are invisible ... :!:

People said shaft is the next gen rail...

Therfore it should be a a delay time from the moment you shoot to the moment the charge is release, so a shaft can miss.

Shaft m3, if protected by team members, makes the game not fun...

I played silence and there were 3 m3 shafts on eache team... In 30 min nobody captured any flag... So boring.

there is no way the shaft is overpowered even though i dont have one i still think it counts on how well the player uses the weapon to see if its overpowered or if someone has a bunch of double powers too kill anything that moves. basicly the shaft is under the thunder in normal mode but in scope mode its the railgun x2 which even with mo but sometimes there can be problems like getting attacked by twins which is hard enough to deal with a shaft because the twins are already overpowered or a sneak attack with freeze or isida. to the point its really up too the person who owns the shaft not the person who dont have one basically besides i love the shaft no matter what the designers did a good job making it :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

Jade is completely useless against shaft, and it's not worth its cost... I have a Jade and Viking m3, and shaft still take over half of my health with its zoom damage, so I'm an easy prey for whomever is nearby, or for his second shot... And if two or three shafts are present in the game - well, let's just say you might as well be naked, and fighting a whole rugby team by yourself.

oh and get better fingers and shoot shaft before he shoots you. probem solved

and stop crying about nerfing shaft more its already been changed like 3 times already .____.

get m3 smoky(drugged) on m3 hornet. shoot the sides and run do that many times over. it worked! :twisted:

Why should we waste drugs?

 

you dont have to if youre smart...and besides dont u hate shafts so much you wud do anything to get pwnt by them...so simplest solution is DA -_-

You have no idea what are you talking about... You won t get the chance to fire because shaft will fire before you get the chance to fire. And you might fire once, but after that your done. I played with shaft a lot and is a very powerful weapon but I get tiered quickly, no fun.

The only real way to beat a non drugging shaft is with Thunder. Hopefully at m2/m3 your shooting fast enough that the wobble kills the Shaft's accuracy. However, It's still not that hard to capture the flag in Silence. They usually don't guard the left flank, and that's the better one for capturing anyways...

You cannot dodge Shaft. Anyone who sais they can dodge or sneak up on him neglects a fact: what if there are 3 shafts in opposing team? And they are good? You get an annoying slug match, no point in it what so ever. You could counter that by awesome teamwork, but awesome Shaft countering teams are very rare.

 

Solution:

1. Nerf the Shaft a little bit, 180 damage per shot is too much, and/or make it harder for him to shoot.

2. Give players the ability to start games without certain weapons/hulls. Remember those annoying guys who enter wasp/rail battles with mammoth/thunder? They could not do it if we had a simple option to check/uncheck what we want to see in our games.

theres 2 vry simple ways to nerf it, give it shooting delay if u wanna nerf it hard :D. remove scope so that shafters actually have to take some skill into aiming manually, after all, thunders and rails dont get it, why should shaft have it?

here's something that may change how you think about shaft being overpowered.

 

earlier i was playing capture the flag battle on serpuhov, 10 each. both sides with serious high rank players from Major to Marshal, except for me the only second leutanant :mrgreen:

my team was on the high side packed with 4 shafts(3 m3s and 1 m1) and 2ricosm3 1isidam3 2thunderm3 1railm3. the other team had some heavy guns as well..

we were leading by 4 to 0. 15min before the game ended, a brigadier joined in on their side he was packed with ricom3 vikingm3 on zeus paint. this rico dude changed the whole battle around!

he came in fully drugged captured flag after flag with shafts all shooting at him and somehow he managed to escape! ofcourse he was helped by some isidas and rails as well but he was the main player. in the end, they won the game by 11 flags to 5! all because of that one ricom3!

 

heres what i learnt from the game no matter how big the guns are on the opposing team if u got the skill no one can stop you and not even 3 m3 shafts!

 

so shaft maybe overpowered but it is the skill that will change everything 8)
