[Issue 1] The "Perfect" Combination *

@Sclam: I agree that shafts can be very useful in battles. Some things, however, have to be realised

1. Silence is never a reflection of "true" battling. The limitations given by only two areas to attack into the enemy base is a massive limitation. Shafts cover this easily, but in a better map such as tribute, shafts cannot hope to cover all of the map. And if this is the case, with a good bit of tactics, tanks can avoid shafts and take them out.

2. Too many shafts = lack of attack. More than three shafts - and three certainly is pushing it - in an 8v8 is asking for defeat. You won't have the ability to attack with any more than 5 players, and as a result your attacks are certain to fail.

3. Shafts aren't invincible. Shafts can only attack one person at a time. If the first attacker is an m3 mammoth, followed by a viking or a hornet, the shaft will take out the mammoth - then get taken out by the viking, which can go on to clear a path to the flag.

this is off topic in a way but i think that the perfect low level 8 man team would have a 2 firebirds for camping (like the freezes) 3 smokys that advance down the middle of the map to draw attention and take out some people and finaly 3 twins coming around the side of the map to take out some unsuspecting player and make it to the flag. this team works for any situation/map if you are low level. i made this post cause i dont know what any of those realy high level weapons do.

Hmm true, but shafts can be offensive too. They are "silent but deadly". With viking. How it works is simple. In lets say silence, cover one area where the enemy team comes. Kill everyone with your partner who comes up that way. In Silence, this would be on the RIGHT of the flag for the blue team. Then, when he enemy stops coming there much, kill someone, drug, race to the flag grab it, and race back. You can lay down landmines at key points in your retreat, as well as do decent damage to hornets following you. This is where backwards driving and knowing the map come in handy. Then, capture the flag. This is best if your allies attack only where you are NOT going, so the enemy is always there. With freeze for example, you attack the enemy, and some enemies see it and get you. You want to be fast, with a lot of health and no weapons that you can see the shots. Shaft could be coming from the top on blue team, anyway. Even with isilda, you can see it. Thunder you can damage yourself. Railgun, you can see where it came from. Smoky just sucks. So, shaft. You can have the most points, support your teammates while attacking, and if a isilda in hornet follows a mammoth lets say, your in viking. The ideal tank that can go fast places, and push over hornets and wasps :P Kill them without points, but you don;t have to worry about them.

So on some maps, where you want lots of shafts, you also want a mamoth thunder or something with a isilda viking to heal him, 1 freeze hornet to get behind shafts and pwn them, 1 thunder to do splash damage and hit shafts who have just fired, and no one knows where he is, one railgun to take out enemies in base, and the rest shafts. There is one map with 2 bases, and lots of snipers. Fun map, but you get the idea.

I put a lot of thought into this :P

1. In "true battles", they will be no-supplies, so you won't use landmines or any other drugs.

2. Silence is also an extremely bad gauge of the ability of weapons.

3. Shafts can be offensive. I'm not doubting that. The only thing is - if you are going to use Shaft as an offensive weapon, why don't you use a thunder instead? More damage, faster reload, splash damage... And if you are trying to get shaft to "all-round", well I'm sorry but that will take an immense amount of organisation to work. In battles, roles are co-ordinated beforehand: it's a massive task to do it in the game itself.

Every single gun is unique in some way. Twins shoots so fast that it can get annoying. Thunder can kill many tanks at once. This would be my perfect team. 1 Isada with hornet (so it can heal everybody as quick as possible) or Dictator (so you have something with a good amount of hp and that's faster than viking.) 1 Ricochet with viking. It can control the middle of the battle and get enemy's before they see it. and it is moderately fast and has moderate heath. (due to the viking's well rounded skill.) 2 shafts and mammoths so the base is well guarded And protected. 2 thunders and vikings. so they can help the ricochet do it's job ,keeping the

middle of the base protected. 1 freeze and mammoth to protect the base. 1 rail gun and hornet so it can snipe and roam around very secretly. Due to the speed and stealth of the hornet.

Tell me if this a good team.

This is in a silence capture the flag match.

And as always "See you in the battle!" :tank:
