Recently we had a new update of the Tankionline Project. Yay!
But it has caused many to disagree with the developers. Why is that you ask?
The new update 1.75 has limited the players to create a various ranked game. Now a lower level rank can only be played with by his/her peers, other lower levels with the same or similar equipment, while high ranks now play with other players similar to their rank. For example, a recruit can only create games that are 4 above its rank, as you rank up, you are allowed to create games that allows you to play with higher ranks. While a Marshal can play with ranks that are up to 10 ranks below it. This brought joy to many, since there are even fewer hackers now in the high ranked games since hackers don't appear in them. Also more games have been in the lobby now to choose from. Hurray! Lets Play!
Another added mechanism is that players are no longer able to create 999:000 time game neither can they create 999 flags anymore. The max time limit is now 300 minutes and max flag count is 100. The community however have mixed feelings for this. This will have a limit to the high reward games where the player just keeps playing 999 flags or time games until server update, but it also enables more games to be made as old ones end faster. I'm sure none of you were going to sit through a 999 time game the whole time.
Although this is a new update, players have already started to express their feelings about this.

started a petetion, why is this so that you are against this update?

It discourages clan gameplay and makes
it difficult for experienced, dedicated players to play with their referrals.

It also makes it more difficult for low ranked players
with good skill and gear (Buyers) to rank up
as they get very low amount of EXP for killing
other players their own rank.
It is also boring since they have no competition
whatso-ever unless a second buyer shows up.

What are you hoping for from this petetion?

That the administration will hear from it's playerbase
and make more reasonable changes

I am For this update, definitely For. Go Developers!

Why is it that you are For this issue?

With this new system there will be no 999 flags or 999 time games
where my friends will drag me into and then I have to leave
half way through the game, resulting in no reward and I believe
that I have wasted my time in there, but hey, their my friends.
I'm a loyal friend I don't ditch them.

Also with this new limitation on ranks, I can now happily play
games with my fellow players without the worry of hackers
ruining my game, since I am one of the higher ranks, hackers
don't appear here as often as before.

And there are more games to play and choose from
in the lobby now, at least that's what I noticed.

There recently has been a petition against
this new update,what are your opinions on it?

To be honest, I admire the creators
courageousness to speak out and even start a petition,
but since I am for this new update, I like the way it is.

What will you do if they do change it back?

I wouldn't like it very much, but its just a game,
continue playing of course, already invested much into this game,
why quit because of 1 minor dislike?

Recently, another update was introduced. Update 1.78.0, this update included a change in bonus drops. Now the bonus drops (First Aid Kit, Double Armour, Double Damage and Nitro) are now dropped at random times and not all at once. Before the bonus drops will fall at a time interval and all the bonus drops will be dropped at the same time. Now each bonus will fall randomly and at random times, however the position of each drop is the same as before. Now players can mask themselves drugging easier as before if the bonus drops didn't fall yet, it will be assumed as drugging.

Crystal drops drop at a constant rate now. Before crystal boxes fell at a interval at 6 battle fund, now its different. Crystal boxes now falls at a constant rate, meaning more crystal boxes will be dropped within a game! Helping lower ranks get crystals faster.

The last new mechanism is about gold boxes. Before gold boxes fell at the interval of 700 battle fund, this encouraging "Gold Hunters" to join a game, after the gold drops, leave it and unbalance the teams. Now the gold box will drop at a random fund. Meaning it can drop at 600,800,100, even below 50. This helps many players get the 100 crystal box easier as now it drops randomly and wont have big M3 mammoths drugging in your way. However the community has mixed feelings about this gold box mechanism change, it may be easier to get golds, but it also takes the "thrill" of the gold box away as it drops and your heart pounds. So is this update for the better or worse? There was also some constructive feedback from tankmen, someone suggested that the gold box should fall at different places on the map so as to increase it randomness even more.

Overall, I find the recent changes to the benefit of the gaming community, rather than to its detriment.

 

The rank limits did make the gameplay more competitive and much fewer games are available to me now, but it's a fair price for the benefits the changes brought. I wouldn't want to return to the way it used to be with this constant fear of mults or one day to live cheater accounts to fix the game balance.

 

I also have no respect for the gold box hunters basically betraying the community spirit for their personal gains. Good riddance.

 

As for the 999 flags and/or 999 minutes games, these obviously were shrewd traps for rookies. I hope that now they will enjoy the game much better and earn more crystals for themselves.

Nice job cab, the rank span for marshal was recently changed from 10 to 11, so I am a bit happier about it, but 12 would be better since that would allow me to play with ALL the clan ranks.

 

About the gold boxes, a blue and a red box would COMPLETELY ruin the fun of it as now people wont literally fight for it unless it was friendly fire battle. But who would want to see a team betraying their team mates over a box?

In my opinion, this is an okay update. Buyers will be treated relatively well, as long as you can get to Second Lieutenant, once you get that rank, you are home free. Take this battle for example: Joining late does not matter as long as you have a good combo, and nice skills. I joined this battle when there was about 7 min left, and (I have to admit) used some supplies. But other than that, buyers can dominate because you can get more points for killing people than marshals and generals. You can get tons of battle funds while doing relatively little to support the team. However, this is not good for the average player who doesn't buy. Unless you find some other source to get crystals (e.g. Contests) you will not like this update, because, simply put, you will lose.

1) be more creative on the contests .

 

2) find the most common thing in all the others and do something unexpected that is different from them
