Just to clear all questions about the winning issue, it was posted at the correct time but the thing is that we have a lot of time differrent time zones. In some time zones we even have more that 6 hrs difference. Lets be tolerant and not envy the rightful winners who deserve their prizes. There will be a chance for everyone next time.

So basically, he had more than two weeks to make a dish, and chose to post in the last hours of the competition? Moreover, he lives in Netherlands, that's the same time zone as mine, 6 in the morning is still 6 in the morning CET. How come he posted hours after the midnight, and the topic wasn't closed by that time?

 

I'm not a sore loser and I don't mind loosing myself, but the rightful winners should be the ones who actually fulfilled the requirements of the contest, especially after the circumstances in which the original one was nulled. Rules weren't changed, he posted AFTER the time required, so in order to be just to all the other competitors, he should be disqualified from the contest. Not to be awarded for intolerance and disregard to the rules. As simple as that.

This contest raised some issues about its validity, and the question of the veracity of the winner. Perhaps someone from the dev team, who chose the winner could step forward and kindly explain why he was allowed to enter the competition on the 4th of June, the voting day, and why the topic wasn't locked in time - if it was, questionable entry wouldn't make it into the competition. He didn't even took a part in the previous, original competition that got lost.

 

I am sorry if I sound ungrateful or vengeful because my entry did not win - I am not, I just want to be bested by a legitimate and honorable competitor, not by a marshal whose credibility in this competition is more than questionable.

I did take part in the original competition.

When all the data got erased I wanted to redo my dish but in the end I didn't have time, and totally forgot about sending in again because of the world cup.

My entry wasn't a cake either, which you'd know if you were at all informed about the competition and competitors in the first place... You really sure you posted something the first time around? Or browsed through a gallery at all?

And what's anything got to do with me being marshal or team leader? Organizers chose my photo purely for what they saw.

From my point of view I have nothing against the winners, but the consolidation prizes for everyone who competed are just wrong decision. When I was participating in the De Javu you picked the best of about 20 (or more can't remember exactly) pictures and it was great, but now you disappointed those who did their best to make something nice, something that is really worth winning while 7 bananas or a pear with a pencil got the same award.

 

From now on I won't be trying to do something special, just compete with product made in 10 seconds and receive the consolidation prize. Thank you for your attention.

But Speedy you cannot say "at least my dish wasn't another cake", because as you said, you don't know anything about the other dishes, since you weren't interested.

Thanks CooperO, but I only said "I didn't browse ALL the entries"-of course I saw some of them, and most of them were either cake or rearranging food into shape of a tank.
