this is a bad and huge mistake becouse you want to get a goldbox but it falls randomly which i do not want offend the person that created this this is stupid i like it the old fashion you just waist drugs like this and be preety much unprepared for it :evil: plz change it its stupid man

Whilst this will be popular among most people - I think - one of the funnest aspects of Tanki' date=' the push and shove for gold, has been removed. The gold was one of the things which separated tanki from other online games, and which has now been removed. :thumbdown: Not a good update. And for anyone who thinks I'm only saying this because I'm good at catching gold, I'm not. I must have seen about 30 in my time but have not yet got one.. I still find battling for gold a fun exercise and one which has been removed for no real reason.[/quote']

 

Just got around to reading this topic, (yeah I'm slow) anyways, I love the new update, many times over and over people show up in my games with mammoth and drugging like crazy to get it and they usually do get it, now anyone has a chance, though I do see more people, "hanging out" in the spot

The gold box is still not all that random. You have only randomized 1 portion of the gold box dropping which is tied to the battlefund. If it still drops in only one fixed location on the map people will still camp at the place the box drops in hopes of getting one.

 

If you truly want to eliminate gold box farming, drop it at a random interval at a random drop point. Problem solved.

Let me tell a story:

I was playing a long Sandbox CTF, which we finally won.

The game was almost over when the gold box felt almost in front of me and I was just too confident not to drug ... and got killed be very weak shot :lol:

 

The guy, who played on the opponent side entire game and had 5 times more points than others in his team reached the gold first.

 

I was really mad on myself, but actually it was really nice price to the one who didn't win the game.

I really like the new way that goldboxes drops. But I see that now some players join battles only for camping for goldboxes - they don't help own team but only stay in places where golds usually drops and defend themselves there. To prevent that behaviour I think that goldboxes should drops in random places too.

The gold box change, while good on some aspects, has pretty much ruined some maps. On Iran you will see a bunch of gold diggers waiting for the box.

Maybe the location of the gold box should also be random so that these beggars do not ruin the games for teams.

Feel free to elaborate. Personally I find the gold diggers disgusting. On a balanced game if you have 2-3 gold diggers in your team, they screw your efforts to win the game, by just sitting on one location. They don't care about flags being captured, about defending team mates or anything involving the team.

It's not fun to play 5 vs 8, just because you have some beggars in your team.
