Hello, fellow Marshalls and privates and corporals and warrant officers. I have a sort of....problem. I like to call it

THE GREAT CRYSTAL DEPRESSION

What is it? It is the fact that, even though I have a "fairly" high rank (Master Sergeant, for those who are wondering) I have an incredibly stupid number of crystals (somewhere below 40)

This may not sound like much of a big deal, but I earn at least 12 times more exp. per battle, meaning that I am getting a higher rank faster than I am getting crystals. If put into thought, this would mean that I could be a Warrant Officer 1 and still have an MK0 Railgun and MK1 Titan. This will become a pretty bad problem, as I, for one really want a shaft, and I can't even afford an MK1 firebird

 

Has anyone ever experienced this before? Can you try to help me out?

PS: I cannot buy crystals, so that takes out the easy way.

We were all like you once, begging for crystals, but soon we found that the only way is to either buy them or grind in battle after battle.

 

After all, what is a reward without a little effort.

 

Surely you will get your railgun, just not now :-)

After a while of playing you will see that number steadily rise, believe me.

 

There is no crystal depression, although there is a massive price jump apparent in the garage.

At last you can see the non-buyers problem (most players only think in rank up), if you gain exp. to quickly, in no time you're fighting against people with much much better tanks/guns/paints.

 

-You can gain crystals for free in contests when the ranks doesn't matter, still almost impossible to win because clan obviously support their mates, but you had a chance.

-Don't buy everything, upgrade only 1 weapon/tank at time!! If you want to test something go to tanki's test server test.tankionline.com, is not always open but sometimes you got luck.

-Read the guides of your weapon/tank in forum's section FAQ, learn how to play well.

-Sometimes, enter in the higher rank battle you can and see how they play, learn the tricks. Search some videos on youtube.

-Finally, pick your battles very carefully, don't jump in any almost lost battle, in high ranks disadvantage battles, in any long battle if you can't stay until the end.

This Problem have all non-buyers. I think this is a way that we (mean tanki players) spendind hundreds of dollars in game. :wink:

I can tell you how to win crystals.............DRUG DRUG DRUG DRUG and no you don't need to drug the whole match either just come in first place. You could save up daily bonus and do this or farm them.

kill more tanks, take more flags => get higher scores => get bigger funds.

 

its actually easier to make lots of crystals when you are low rank like you. - join a high rank game.

 

by the way - getting enough crystals for m3 tier 2 is much harder then for "rail", so your troubles are relatively small.

IMO you need to wisely choose the gun and the tank. People buy tanks for which they can't pay at higher levels or they can't earn much crystals and then get pwned, hence dnt win crystals.

Choose a gun which you can upgrade to m3 easily(if u have no plans to buy crystals).

 

I have no plans to buy much crystals so i sticked with my dictator, and will upgrade it to m3(almost at m2 right now!). dictatr gives the speed of hormet(8.0, 2 less than hormet) and 120 hp which is almost at par with viking m2(120, 5 less than viking). Viking m3 needs a lot of crystals.

 

Think for few seconds that we play the game for fun and end up playing it for crystals with no fun. So, better choose that which u can afford and get 100 % out of it.

 

PS: throw away ur Titan, get a dictator so u can CTF too!.

i think for non- buyers you should be getting tier 1.5 stuff like dictator isida rail

Daily bonuses, use turn the turret, it can help you a lot.(I'm surprised that most of the noobs doesn't know how to do that :hunf: ) . At a lower level i would suggest to aim one gun and tank.

Smoky m3 is a very good turret, and you can use Hunter or Wasp with it.

 

And when you are WO 1 , Get m0 thunder and viking, it owns others. Happy tanking. :wink:

 

Edit: Play small games if you don't have much time . And if you start playing one game, don't stop(or if you quit, u won't get the crystals) Btw quit if the other team is drugging like mad, or if the have a really big kill/flag differece Eg:50-100 .
