[FAQ] All About The World Cup and Making Teams

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

i have seen many post asking how to make teams for the world cup, so i thought i would answer that now.

The World Cup is a event where teams from all over the world compete to see who is the best of the best.

To make a team for the World Cup, you simply must create the team in the Clans and Teams Forum, and then get 10 members withing 24 hours.

The World Cup Page can be found here

The page says:

Hello Tankmen!

worldcup_.jpg

We present the tournament "Tanki Online World Cup" where 24 national teams will fight in knock out rounds until we have a final winner. First, a quick definition of the tournament: each country starts with an equal amount of factories. All of the countries in the tournament continue to play until one team has amassed all of the factories... Each factory produces 10 battle supplies of its kind to each of the team members, every Monday. Meaning that, the more the factories, the more the battle supplies. Below is the illustration which shows the properties of each country.

How the tournament will take place

-Every Monday, each team will challenge any other team and place a bet of a certain number of factories.

-Each country can have a maximum of 3 battles in a week, meaning that it makes a challenge and can only be challenged by 2 other countries. All countries can make only one challenge a week.

-Every country is obliged to challenge and make a bet and to take up all challenges without denial. The winner takes all (the whole bet).

-During that particular week, all teams have to play their challengers before the next Monday.

-For everyone's convenience, all matches will be played at times agreed on by the team captains.

-The country that is left without any factories is automatically knocked out of the tournament.

All matches will take place in the following conditions:

Private Battle

CTF,

5 players and 5 substitutes

60 min, meaning 30 min on one side and 30 min on the other. The captains to create 35min battles to allow 5 min preparation.

With supplies,

With bonus drops,

Paints: for players - Any paint is allowed

How to qualify for the "Tanki Online World Cup":

- In the tournament, only players with the ranks starting from "3rd Warrant Officer" and better can take part.

- All the countries that have registered are listed here, country registration has been closed. To apply you need to leave an application message in the topic of the country of your choice here.

- Any player can apply in any team, doesn't matter it is their nationality or not.

- The message should contain ONLY your nickname. The nickname in the message should coincide with the sender's. No one can apply for a different player.

- 10 players in each team will be chosen by the team captain. (Chosen by the captain, who happens to be the creator of the topic)

- After the total of 240 players have been chosen, all team captains are to hand in their team members' names in this topic.

Prizes for the winning team:

The first place winning team in the finals receives 100 000 crystals and 2000 of each battle supplies

Important!!!

This topic will be open for team captains' applications on the 21st of May.

Lets discuss the tournament here

Some tips are:

You can also create a chat box for your team here

A list of teams already created are here

i even created a forum for my team here

If you want to create a website for your team, I would suggest Weebly

Little flags next to the team members' names adds a nice touch such as in team Vietnam and United States. The flags can be obtained here, simply search for your country's name in the search box, then right click on the little flag and view image, and then follow the image posting steps.

Be creative when you make your team, use big print, fancy colors, interesting pictures, and homemade banner codes. You can choose software to make banner codes here

Koolwalky or Whiteowl, if you want to move this to the FAQ section, then lets do it! :D

FTFY

I'm pretty sure there are already topics like this and rules. If people can't figure out how to make a clan page look good AFTER reading the rules then they are *coughcoughfull******scoughcough*

And please what does FTFY stand for

First of all, I'm pretty sure the 10 members in 24 hours rule doesn't paply to teams.

Secondly, please note that teams are only available for countries and cannot be made otherwise.

Thirdly, recommending people to make forums and Chatboxes isn't FAQ. It's opinion. FAQ should not contain opinion unless spoken as opinion. I don't have a chatbox for my team. Most teams don't have forums. State it as your own personal opinion or not at all.

Also, You want more information about the World Cup, from what I've asked Bruce about?

1. Only ten people can be in a team when the World Cup Starts.

2. Each game will be 5v5.

3. It will be in a last-team-standing format, with the last team to be destroyed (see below for that) will win. *I am not absolutely certain about this*

4. There will be a world map of countries.

5. Each country will have five "factories" [Mine factory, Double Power factory, etc]. If all the factories in a country is destroyed, the country is destroyed.

6. To destroy a country, two teams will organise a battle, with both teams gambling a certain amount of factories, for example, two. The winning team will then be able to destroy the gambled number from the other country, in this case, two.

7. Before each battle, every remaining factory will give all of the members 10 extra of each remaining supply. For example, if the Mines factory is still standing, each team member will get 10 mines added. If the double power factory has been destroyed, however, they will not gain an increase in double powers. This hints that supplies will be permitted in the team war.

8. If a country challenges you, and you have no organised war for that week [Friday/Saturday/Sunday], you MUST accept the declaration, and agree to at least one gambled factory.

9. You can play as many wars as you want a week. *I am not certain about this*

10. Wars must be played on weekends *There may be a bigger range, e.g. Fri-Mon, but it will be around weekends*.

11. Once a team is destroyed it cannot fight any more wars and has lost the World Cup.

12. Clan war rules also apply, such as no non-team members playing, and other similar things to that.

P.S. Don't write FAQ topics about things you don't know everything about. And don't add the [FAQ] tags yourself, leave that to the moderators if they deem your thread good enough for FAQ.
