Expanding on Polygon: TDM and CTF

Interesting proposal, I myself have thought of Polygon TDM and CTF many times before, but did not have the stones to bring it forth and alive to the forum :P

 

My idea was to perch the red flag on the highest cliff corner of the sniper perch, and the blue flag was far beyond the gate and behind the wall.

Obviously, your idea for flag position is much more fair to the players.

 

But either way, I still wholly agree, I would love to see a Polygon TDM or CTF some time in the future.

A new bout of variety never hurt this game at all :wink:

I personally am not sure yes or no exactly. There are a few issues, it could turn out very unfair and unbalanced map as it is not symmetrical, or it could be a good map like tribute (Tribute is not symmetrical too)

 

If we had team games on it, then there would be less DM what if there will be NO DM at all? What if people find teamplay on it much better. There will be way less DM games on it.

 

But look at highland, it is a common DM map and it has teamplay on it too. But people don't like CTF on highland and no one rarely plays it.

 

Honestly we can't know how it will turn out, I prefer it stayed as DM only.

Well, there won't be one. First imagine how that would be, not nice to play. Create the map with the flags in Google Sketchup, Paint or Alternativa Editor. Then the developers might even bother to take a look.
