Played (again) last 2 week and seen so many noobs who wont stop taking flag even they have great player advantage. This is computer game and one script can solve this.

 

When script detect one player less for one team after one minute flags will be grayed and no one will be able to take and cap. If teams again equalized flag will be normal (also maybe after 1 minute?). If no one come in 5 min battle will be ended with that score.

Ok, what if they call friend to be mult just for caping flag? Same script send alarm to moderators and they will act as usually.

 

Same thing is for battle when some not so smart kid cap flag on start wih no enemy. Usually, after that, battle is full of drugers. Script not allow taking flag until 50% players come in battle and number of players must be eqyal for both team. Only then flag will become visible.

 

P.S. dont jump immediately on me. maybe this will restore a bit of fun into the game

This script is ok as an option for some players. I, personally, however, think that it is well within my right that if I have made the enemy team ragequit thanks to superior skill/drugs/weaponry that I can capture flags until the enemy returns. Some players may want this, so it could be an option in games, but if this is made as unchangeable option, then think about how annoying it can be if you are one flag away from victory (Maybe 299-75, first to 300) and enemies all leave..?

Read again: -> If no one come in 5 min battle will be ended with that score. <- You still won that battle but maybe in less time and with less score.

^Ok. So are you suggesting this to be the default requirement, or an option? I wouldn't mind it being an option, it's good, but I like games as they are.

Taking flags with superior numbers is certainly a "right" (although that seems to be a word many teenagers toss about when it suits them) that all players have. My point is this, you get little to no points for taking flags in these situations and it discourages other players from joining to make a fair, even game. Also, whatever happened to etiquette? It seems too many youthful players feel "entitled" or "by right" to play however they want. I believe there are unwritten game standards that should be known and adhered to by players. And why not? Have a little courtesy. Develop a sense of fair play.

And one more thing, I play many no supplies games, and these maps are usually played by russians, not all. It seems they follow some standards and will stop MID GAME if numbers are not even, and will wait until they are. It is one reason I value no supplies maps over all others. You know going into that map, it will be a fair contest and let the best tanks, and team win.

as i generally agree with you i am not sure if it makes real sense to force this upon players...

 

If then maybe like you proposed:

3-5 player - one

6-10 player - two

but not 10-10 else no capture...

and well, make it optional... nice for sure but you wont see those games... rarer than NS battles already i guess

 

besides that, i have to agree with conan here

Good idea, I'd say make the difference in the teams be more than just 1 player though. That's a bit radical, maybe 2 players or more.

Good idea or not THEY DONT WANT even to respond on this proposal. Selling drugs to children is more important thing and they haven't time to think about other stuff improtant for players and gameplay.

I like this feature much,so that someone can not carry flag when no one at the other team.It will make less drugers in battle.They will play with their abilities.

Game is full of stupid kids who just start shoting when join the game and just charge for flag no matter how much players in opposite team. No exception, even, no supply battle not safe from that 'brave warriors'!!

Brainless stupid coward player who killed all the fun in game. I give solution, answer on that or do something about that and improve Tanki gameplay for all, not only for idiots.

I dont and i want post on ONLY russians language feedback. I create this Topic and a want answer here. Problem is that they as so busy selling drugs and crystals and dont care about anything else. Did you ever notice that this game have no battle rule at all?

this will be abused.

 

example:

blue beats red 15-2.

red is starting to gain momentum and is capturing.. 15-4 .. 15-7 .. 15-10..

it seems obvious that red will win.

 

blue team is using their 2nd accounts to freeze the score.

this is even worst then multing, which is A PROBLEM today.

now - the team who got first advantage - wins.

 

bad idea.

I wrote that text two months ago and thought ideas is great. However after reading comments I come to conclusion that even idea will make the game more honest, it will not make the game better. The game is fun as it is. The same as life - not too sweet :)

I think this is sort of a good idea. But think of this. A battle, where you are on a team with 3 people. Other team has 10. And they like, ALL drug. No need, but they do. And they take flags. Tough huh? The right answer is let the noobs drug and take flags, just leave the battle. The noobs can waste time and drugs getting like no crystals from battle fund, and you go to a more fair battle. So Interesting idea, but not the best application. I have a better idea. It is used in games such as Team Fortress 2. Its called auto-balance. Every so often, like every 5 minutes, the server will check the battle. If one team has 2 or more player than the other team, the server will randomly pick X players to move to the team with less people, leaving the teams balanced OR the team that originally had 2 or more with 1 more. And the players who move WILL keep their score. For dictated players who want to play on a team with their friends, they just head over to that team. If this is an option, to switch teams, IN BATTLE, without losing score (also, not part of the auto-balance), this would help too. But with auto-balance, the teams will be even, battle continues, etc. And if they all drug on that team... just go to another battle. :p that's what drugs are for!

For the no supplies games this may very well be an option indeed: if they want to level the field by switching off the drugs [and even bonuses] then why not help them with balancing the number of the active players? Especially if some player runs into lags, gets his connection reset, cannot continue playing, then the other players may notice the disparity much later than the game server.

 

Having said the above, I also maintain that by the very joining a battle with an unequal balance of flags/kills the player expresses his/her agreement to grant the opponents their current handicap. E. g. if six marshals think they can outdrug twelve lieutenants, or twelve lieutenants think they can outgun six marshals, then I see no reason for not letting them have their battle their way! In my opinion the real problem here is marauders/raiders who lure the other players into a battle, wait till the fund is bursting with crystals, then steal the victory by either massively drugging, or by replacing their players with much stronger ones, or switching sides [or any combination of the above]. Try scripting this! :wink:

ok, topic need bump so i propose new idea.

 

in CTF game in first 5 (five) minutes flag will be grayed so noobs cant be able to take and cap flag. reason:

1) new game just start, some not so smart noob take few flags and eventually that game is just powerleveling for that team or becomes drugers game.

2) game just finish and new start. few players wont play any more but stay in game just to talk (congratulate others or whatever). other team just see enemy and simply rush to cap flag. players who stayed now exit and game isnt balanced any more. than, for loser team no one want to come but noobs still take flag. eventually someone come, usually noob mult who just wants to collect crystals or some stronger player and it that case battle (again) becomes drugers game.

 

of course, drugers game is good for Tanki becouse they need and desperately wants money but thats not so good for gamers who want to play normal balanced game.
