Well I wouldn't say so - As I have discovered the gold boxes always fall in the same place and usually it's in the middle of the battle - I had only one golden box in my life (And I'm WO4 now). I have either discovered that the gold box falls every time 100 small crystals fall down so if a battle is good then there can fall down up to 5 crystals at the time and every 30 seconds so if you divide 100 to 5 which is 10 and then 10 times 30 seconds you could find a gold box in 3 minutes - simple isn't it? Besides the gold box does not give that many crystals if you think about it - cause what can you buy - some bonuses? Upgrade your small tanks? Well the thing that everyone's reaching for it is that it is the easy way to get 100 crystals and either in the time of the battle and you don't have to pay anything. Well I wouldn't say that it does give anything much cause in the day I got the gold box, I either finished battle and received almost as twice as price of a gold box - so what's the point - people just like to get boxes because if they get many of them they can buy some cool, strong and expensive stuff like upgrading your viking to M2 - So people - if you want the gold boxes and get more crystals - then join the battles and don't leave so gold boxes can receive everyone including you.

I think its awesome how i dont care..you may think its because i've never gotten gold..but its not. i never liked the idea of siting around waiting for gold to fall at 700 battle fund. and i especially don't like it randomly fall. Its weird and stupid.

I like to play in the map Madness, and if i happen to be on the losing team, i see most of my teammates at the top, where the gold falls. and its funny how, it could fall when they weren't up there, before they were losing, and then it not fall before the battle ends. that's why, in a sense, i don't like the gold. It distracts people, and takes a bit of fun out of it. (depending on the map)

The developers plan to fix this soon, so it will be the gold box falls at random locations.

I never got a gold box because drugged Marshals with m3 Mammoth and m3 Freeze comes and kill you in a second. I think this update is better, this might make the poor rich,and we will be concentrating on the gold box spot :roll:

First of all, i admit - golden boxes, has never triggered any buzz and interest in me, naturally i would not mind to catch one, but don't you boys and girls, hate the old fashioned way, when you play a 300, 500 or more kills game, and then when the box is about to fall, a bunch of gold diggers (many times cheaters) rush in, and ruin the game, just in order to get it?

 

I'm barely on the way to become a warrant 1, and even I've been in at least 8~9 games like that. Every time you get the same, in the heat of the battle, instead of fighting, you get a cheaters happy hour with lags and freezing. IMO, if you simply try to make a good ranking in the battle chart at the end, or harvest a lot during the battle, the golden box with its 100 crystals seems like something way too insignificant and not worthy the battle spoiling.

i saw a gold fall while camping with shaft. almost got it after everyone in red team went the ramp but teammie got it lol

next one fell after 20 fund, then i got it LOL

 

actually, gold is easier now then before

Yeah. Ive gotten them a lot faster now. Golds are more common for me to see now. somtimes I catch them too now where as before I couldn't.

Wow, I won't even begin to start to tear that theory apart. IT ISN'T TRUE.

 

Firstly, the only time I've ever got a gold box was when I was down in about 3rd position in the battle. I was the only person for miles when I got the gold box. :roll: Just because you get it once when you are top of the team doesn't men the gold will fall on you. I've been top a lot. I rarely get the gold near me.

 

Secondly, think about how hard the programming would be for that. "Make the box fall when the person top of the game is near". Really? Why not just random? Would make more sense, no?

 

Thirdly, how come gold boxes can fall in 1v1s?

 

Fourthly, why would the Tanki admins do that? Why would they even bother with such a system? Surely random would be fairer? And easier? And more truthful?

 

Fifthly, what evidence do you have of your theory? Apart from that one time when you almost got the gold box whilst being top of your team?
