It isn't May Day. It's victory day, solely a Russian holiday. If you headed over to the russian forum, you would notice they have "Happy Victory Day" posters up, but we don't have them because UK/US/etc don't celebrate Victory Day.

if discount wont be on tanki birthday, 4. june ...than I will go in vacation-mode till next discount..possible on new year evening... Tanki birthday I guess is same in all country....I wishhhhhhh :roll:

So what does that have to do with him wishing for a celebratory discount? Nothing. I realize that what you are referring to is that the German Army was pushed out of Russia and it was a great victory, hence, victory day. But do you think Russia did it on her own? Not exactly. There was material support and much more provided to Russia in that effort. And yes, his country and several others did kick the Nazis out of several countries during WWII. So there is no exclusivity there. The poor guy just was hoping that there would have been a sale to celebrate and he's disappointed and just expressing his opinion. In the free world, we are entitled to those, right?

I am actually from Russia so my country did participate. Just because I speak English doesn't mean i shouldn't be congratulated. I am just disappointed how even if its just a russian holiday, then we don't english holidays. Who wouldn't mind having a Thanksgiving on tanki? I just want this game to be more balanced :shock:

You know, the day Germany signed a capitulation was quite important for entire Europe ... it's funny that only for Russians its a Victory day ... I guess there is a reason for that ... to think of entire eastern Europe.

This is another interesting fact -- these posters doesn't carry the symbolic of the victory day (CCCP, red flag etc). Instead they carry new Russian national symbols (line of Goerge etc)
