Ok, so I decided to post all my concerns and questions about this tournament here since the Skype conference that was created for the captains is flooded with useless posts and nobody replied with a proper answers and solutions:

 

1. As Bruce said, captains will challenge each other through Skype conference. However, I think there are several issues with it:

a. Skype it not reliable since sometimes, for several hours, it is not sending/receiving messages in the conference. So somebody might challenge the team before me, even though I was the first one that actually did it.

b. Many captains will not notice that they are being challenged since there is a lot of flood in the chat. Or they will ignore it and say that they didn't see it.

 

Solution: I suggest to create a separate topic in the forum that will show who is challenging who. Also, the challenges should be sent to the country-team's topic in the forum, since it will show exactly the time that the message was posted and who was first that challenged that team.

*The permission to challenge other teams should be given only to the captains, since some players might challenge some team that the captain didn't want to.

 

2. I think this final prize is too small. For all the time/effort/drugs that we will spend for this tournament the winner should get much more. At least extra supplies every day and not once a week since 10 sets of supplies for the whole week (that can consist of 3 battles) is a joke. Even if the team will make max 3 battles on the first week it will get only 40 sets on the week after.

Here is some info from similar tournament from Russian section:

-its called "TOF Dream Team"

-Drugs are allowed ONLY in finals and semi-finals

-battles are 40 mins long

-The winners get 200,000 crystals for the team + paints that have 20% resists from all

 

Now lets compare it to ours, we need to use a lot of drugs since they are allowed from the beginning + the length of the battle is 60 mins (33% longer). And still the winners will get twice less crystals and no paint. And the amount of given drugs will not cover even quarter of what we are going to spend.

 

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it is a little bit unfair towards English community.

 

Solution: There are two options.

a. To double the final prize

b. To allow drugs only in finals and semi-finals

c. To combine both a+b (as it is in "TOF Dream Team")

 

3. There are no rules defined about the map selection. As it is right now, the teams can play on any map. However, what will happen in case that captains choose to play on Sandbox (4x4)? Or what to do in case that captains cannot agree on which map to play?

 

Solution: There should be a list of approved maps. Also, a guide to captains that describes how both sides choose a map.

Many teams are already questioning if to participate or not in this tournament. They don't see any motivation, since the players will spend more than they are going to win. There is no any unique item that will show to everyone that this team won the World Cup. And the lower rank teams or those who didn't donate don't see any chance of winning here and they already start to withdraw their applications (see above).

 

There are a lot of small questions that I will not mention for now. Please read and comment. I would appreciate if Bruce will comment on this as well.

I think it will be spent approximately 200 Double-Power, 200 Double-Armor, 200 First-Aid, 100 Nitro, in each game 60 minutes total, so at least you have to spend more, and defense does not need nitro, but need 100 Mines.

Do the calculations: this will give an expense of 6,000 crystals

Are initially five games, which will give 30,000 crystals, and if more games will be 6,000 more for each new game.

But it makes me wonder: the prize is 100,000 crystals for the team to win, and will be divided for each player, which will give 10,000 crystals for each . Where is the advantage of it?

If I had 30,000 crystals I buy my Mammoth M3, or buy my Python. I need that, they do not need, they already have.

@ChaosR: In terms of issue #1, challenging is going to happen on the forum. ;)

 

Other than that, I agree. Like the mosquito battles, there is not sufficient motivation to win. And the map thing is a joke - I mean, all maps? ._. Which sane person wants to do a team battle in Silence? Yet teams will choose silence. And so on.

 

EDIT: You also forgot to mention one thing which is an absolute joke - the fact that teams are being hijacked by different countries... How on earth is that a rule? The person who creates the team must be able to speak the country's language over a skype chat, at least. >_> Look at teams portugal and Jamaica... I feel sorry for all the portuguese tanki players who can't get into their team because a random russian clan felt like taking part in the World Cup and just hijacked their team, giving them no chance to fight for their country. Can any of those russians speak portuguese? I doubt it.
