What is the best way to break out when you are stuck to someone else?

Due to lag and whatever sometimes my tank gets stuck in someone else's tank.

What is the best way to break away when you are stuck to someone else (other than self destructing)?

Self distruct

No, that takes lots of time.

If you're using something that shoots (richochet, shaft, smoky, twins and the rest), just keep shooting.

It should free you quite easily.

If you are using something 'soft' (firebird and freeze), then hope that you get killed.

thunder is useful with this problem

i keep shoting the guy i am stuck in or shoting something nearby to self destroy

but self destroy is the best way because sometimes it take long to get off the other guy

but sometimes when you click delete and the time start you get off the other tank this is annoying

My gut feeling is there is that there would be some sort of movement that would pull me away from the other guy. Obviously driving away from each other, and if you're using a gun with kickback than shooting at the dude you are stuck to so there is more force pushing away.

I used to think I saw some good effect by "pumping the gas", meaning try to drive away, then release the gas...keep repeating that. I thought i noticed "jumping" away from the guy a little bit each time. Was that in my head? Try it out for yourselves and let me know what you think.

We should not be getting stuck in the tanks of other people in the first place.

This is an annoying glitch especially when you are in a critical moment in the heat of battle; then you and the tank you are stuck to ends up dead.

What can be done is like the others said above, shoot the tank you are stuck to or self-destruct.

Your answer lies in this video:

Watch everything from 0:43 to 0:55 to get the answer.

Don't bother watching the rest of the video, you will hate yourself for doing it.

I watched all of it... I'm just fine heheheh no im not

Oh and, i sometimes purposely sit on the enemy that's trying to spawn and get stuck, place a mine, and pull them towards it :P easy kill.

If your stuck to your own teammates tank, just go the opposite way they are i guess...

No it isn't.

Personally I agree with M0STFA.

It is admittedly one of the most annoying things that happens in Tanki when you get stuck in someone else's tank. I, as yet, havent been able to get out of these with a non-push-back wep unless lag strikes again.

@Conta: Thanks for the help :|

How to avoid it

If you and another tank are just spawning, try not go drive into the spawning tank. That is usually how this happens. If you are having lag problems, minus the screen size, and wait for the lag to pass by. To minus the screen size, hit the "-" button.

If your tank is really stuck

The natural instinct is to drive away from the tank stuck to you with the path of least resistance. This is not a good idea. Try driving with the tank you are stuck to. This seems to have the most effect in the least time.

If this doesn't work

Then try self-destructing. That is probably the only way besides driving with your opponent.

If your tank is only slightly stuck

In this case, it would be best to just back up. The instinct of the other tank will probably be to do the same, so don't try to drive through the other tank. The backing up choice is probably the fastest way to get you "unstuck"
