Turret and hull combinations

Recommended Posts

I've noticed a few people asking about turret and hull combinations. So long as you choose a turret and a hull to match your style of combat, then surely it doesn't matter does it?

And picking out turret and hulls to match your style isn't hard.

It also depends on the size of the map you're playing.

I'm intrigued...... How does the size of the map effect which tank you go for? Surely you're combat style is the same regardless of it's size. I don't know how big they can truly get as i'm only a staff sergeant but my combat style at stayed the same throughout the ranks i've gone through and therefore haven't required many changes.

Well, on large maps close range weapons tend to be worse, as you have to drive to get to your opponents, and can be sniped off. Likewise, long ranged weapons on small maps aren't as good, as you aren't able to utilize the full advantage your range gives you. Then, there are maps when one tank is better than another; Hornet is not very useful on Island, for example, as you don't really have enough room to make advantage of its speed.

To me this is irrelevant to this topic because now you're talking about people choosing combinations for certain maps. Where i imagine people choose a good all rounder to upgrade to meet their combat style for the majority of maps because lets be honest, unless people want to spend a lot of their own money not many people will have M3 everything.
