hmmm....

First, the english version doesnt have all the required files, so you would have to download more from the FAQ, or get them somewhere else.

Secondly, each .xml is just a code which tells you where to find the .3ds files, and how to position them. But, in the new version, the librarys(prop librarys) are slightly differently done, which means it might look for a prop in a file which isnt there, so it probably wouldnt work.....

You could re arrange the prop librarys, I will see what needs to be done to make them the same as the old version.

Here is a great idea.

 

1. You have a working copy/directory.

 

2. She needs it.

 

3. Ask her what type of OS she is using. It could be an Apple ... ugh.

 

4. Zip up your working DIRECTORY. NOT the program files/ZIPS which she would have to install. Just the working DIRECTORY.

 

5. Send her the Zip file of the working DIRECTORY. REPEAT ... NOT the program files/ZIPS which she would have to install.

 

6. She UNZIPS the file and saves the DIRECTORY on her Desktop or wherever.

 

7. Voila !! Tres bien !!!

 

It works. Trust me. I'm not ALONE in here !!!

you mean the whole TTT file?

I am not completely happy with my new version of TTT, and am still working to get it as good as possible, and when i have i will upload it, you can download all of my TTT's, apart from the edited new versions, at the bottom of the post there are downloads for the old version, 2.0, new version(unedited) russian, new version(unedited) english.

and, since many people might not want to download the whole thing again, i am adding instructions on how to change it, and also downloads so you can just download the needed things, not the whole thing.

You were are all correct. It is green screen. I simply converted the skybox.jpg to lime green.

 

You can do all kinds of effects with the skybox as long as the file dimensions remain the same.

 

You can use virtually anything. Pictures, text, make your own, etc.

I used the lime green sky box to make my overlay for the videos.

 

The vid below is not CROPPED or EDITED and is very RAW. It is a screen capture directly out of Flashplayer using TTT.

It is better viewed off of the Youtube site. More clarity.

 

There are all kinds of "tricks" for using the Flash player and the video capture setup to obtain a, if not great, acceptable video.

It improves the quality and the FILES SIZE. I try to keep my files as SMALL as possible. They "stream" from Youtube quicker.

 

AVI files are great, but they are just too BIG.

 

 

Most of these effects can be created using FREE software.

 

Note: At the start of the vid the tank is a lime green color. Notice the effect. You might want to use care when selecting a

background color OR it is something else to experiment with and have some fun. You decide for yourself.

 

You might want to watch the vid in HD format too. It's freaky looking.

 

You already know all of this cheese3000, but it might help out some of the other users.

The link below is to a "cut down" or simplified version of the Tank Testing Tool - ENGLISH VERSION.

 

It is not the EXE file version.

 

It does not contain the Map Maker section or any unnecessary overhead.

 

It has been downloaded and tested on 5 different computers and ran with no problems.

 

Read and disregard the Google message. You can check it yourself, if you prefer, after you download it.

 

My advice is to unzip it on your Desktop. It's easier to locate. You can move it later.

 

It is 117 Meg in size. Dial-ups not recommended.

 

Read the TTT INSTRUCTIONS txt file carefully before you start the program.

 

Address any questions to this Forum Topic. There are people here that can answer them.

 

NEW USERS will be able to "Try it before you buy it". It will help you decide which tank is best for you.

 

You can also practice on a map before you ever go to it !! Always be prepared.

 

Longtime users will be able to "enhance" the settings and JUMP.

 

Make some videos !! Make some Paint videos !! The paints look better when they are moving.

i have recently downloaded the program and im on my way to complete my work of art map ;p

 

but one thing: i cant find Iran props + other props in tanki

 

anyidea where to download them?

Dear Cheese this is a large problem to occur for me; whenever I try to use Tanks Testing Tool, and I select a Map and press "play" it just gives me a download screen that asks if I want to run or save the .swf of Testing Tool.

 

 

And then, when I press cancel on both screens, it shows me an information window that rougly translates "Map [Map_Name] running successfully"

 

 

I don't understand what this means, I just want to test my maps! :cry:

guys after i finish a map and open it with TTT my fps in TTT is 1 only when i look at the props but when i look up to skybox its 60

other maps i open is ok but when i open a map i create fps go mad .. ???

hmm...thats slightly worrying, never happended for me, when did you download it, is it a newer version?

Yes, the .exe doesnt work, to get it near to working you need to go on settings (Hactponkn nporpammbl(rough english version(its the bottom right button)) and then....illl check and say.

ok, im hoping that there will soon be a already working version of the english TTT, if there isnt, im afraid you willjust have to use it like the old, since im not sure how to get it to work properly ATM.

yes, this is common, if the map is to big, or uses to many complicated props(iran is one of the worst librarys to use) then it will lag, try looking at as small parts of the map as possible, and try to make the maps as small, and use uncomplicated props...

yes, dont use the .exe.

Since the new version has a .swf, just copy the wanted map from "TanksMaps", and rename it "map", delete the existing "map", make sure the config has the correct librarys in it, and then load the .swf in flashplayer/firefox/google chrome/internet explorer
