from what i could find out, some clans "own" a map, and they get rewards from games played on that map, and you can fight other clans to get more maps.

Than it's not such a good idea. Clans should battle in maps they created and make battles private, or play on limited amount of servers, not spoil every map they stumble upon... I'm not interested in clan battles, nor I have a wish to see them in my own maps.

I dont think that the case with this. I think that each of the 10 owns a map. And they can challenge another clan for rights to "own" their map. The winner of that battle will keep the map/win the map, and get a certain amount of crystals. That is my interpretation of the Russian. Obviously, clans will still be able to enter normal battles in their map, though they will not get any crystals or anything by playing in it - just regular Tanki fun. Any disagreements with my interpretation?

The amount of people misunderstanding this is incredible. I expect that this is a permanent update, and one I personally warm to.

 

From the little I can understand of the disaster that is Google Translate, this is what I work out:

 

-There are 10 maps up for grabs. Each has been given to one of the ten strongest Russian clans. No more maps will be "given out" freely to any clans, clans will have to win the map of a clan that currently owns the map in question.

-Other clans have the opportunity to "conquer" the map from the clan. They challenge them in a certain type of battle (e.g. Dic-Rail, 740, PF-2, PF-3, etc) option. The options available to each map is specified on the topic mentioned above. A victory means that the map is theirs and they now get the name of their clan whenever someone creates a map. A defeat means that the original clan gets a crystal payment for holding onto the map.

-The "occupancy" of each clan in a map makes ZERO difference to gameplay. Rank requirements, props, and landscapes stay exactly the same. The only difference is the image when you view the map from the lobby.

 

I personally think it is a great update. It gives further incentive to being in a clan and being in a strong clan, and is a permanent institution that gives smaller clans something to aim at one day: conquering a map for themselves. I like the way the crystal prize is not too much, but the kudos of having the name of your clan up there is amazing! If there are people to organise it, I think it will succeed brilliantly! :thumbup: And one day, I hope to be in a clan holding one of the maps!

We have 7 sticky clans and to no offense to the other clans looking only at records I'd have to say SS or CP might could do it, Any English clans taking a map would be epic for the English community.

Bruce is busy with university, and I doubt they've got many people who can speak fluent enough English to explain it.. They'd also have to explain the whole scenario, which I think is unlikely for them to publish. Either way, I'm sure that English clans are allowed to participate. If you read the topic, any clan can challenge for maps. You could challenge if you think you are good enough.

If you guys say you deserve a map, try to win one... although I'm not sure that the clan that lost their latest clan war should say that they are "top english clan".
