I suppose some one could ask the Russians if English clans can Participate on the Russian thread.

G's done it. The admin said yes.

I personally think it is a great update. It gives further incentive to being in a clan and being in a strong clan, and is a permanent institution that gives smaller clans something to aim at one day: conquering a map for themselves. I like the way the crystal prize is not too much, but the kudos of having the name of your clan up there is amazing! If there are people to organise it, I think it will succeed brilliantly! And one day, I hope to be in a clan holding one of the maps!

Some of us don't have any interest to be in a clan, or to form one. This feature would be much more appreciated if it was applied on a limited amount of servers/maps, and/or made available only in private battles.

Why??? This makes absolutely no difference to you then, if you are not in a clan. Its not as if they're going to takeover each game you play in that map or something. Its just, really, something for kudos and fun for those in clans.

But the problem is, that's exactly what happened yesterday. Some of us have our favorite maps and favorite servers, and all of a sudden, those maps are overrun with drugged clan members nobody saw there before, and everything became a mess. "Rites of manhood" should have been organised differently... perhaps it would be prudent to move this feature to less popular maps - it would be a great way to promote maps which almost no one plays, as well as clans.

Thia feature, in my opinion, did NOTHING to affect that happening. Did you know for sure they were clan members? And are you sure that wouldn't have happened if this new update hadn't happened? If I was in one of those clans, I wouldn't go scrolling about every server looking for my map and only playing it - I would play it just as much as I had before. There is no change in my opinion.

Overrun by clan members? Are you seriously saying that the 20-40 members of General Tanks overrun every single Silence II game there is? Personally, I doubt it. Did you check the members in your game which you are playing, and whether they are in the clan which owns the map you are playing in? I'll say there is 95% chance that they do not belong to the clan that owns the map.

Like is said in the Russian section, this makes NO difference to gameplay. The rank limits are still the same, as are props, and everything else. And neither are there any new limits on creating a battle: Everyone can still create a game in these maps. The only difference is that small picture when you view the image from the lobby, which I'm sure you agree is pretty unobtrusive. That is the ONLY difference to gameplay for the person who is not in a clan and has no interest in clans (Which I personally think is stupid, but that's another issue).

Thank you for further explanation. Not sure if those were clan members, but I think it's at least strange to see the incursion of so many unfamiliar faces, mostly high ranked, all of a sudden. As for not being a clan member or having no interest whatsoever, I like to play with my friends without any kind of obligation or commitment, so there :)
