I played the Tanki 2.0 demo and was blown away. The graphics were amazing! The tracks actually moved! But then after all that...where is it? I mean did the idea just vanish? Tanki was going the right way and then back to the original Tanki!? I mean what was Tanki thinking anyway? Make people mad? Can they at least tell me an estimate? A possible due date? A REAL due date? Or can you tell me at least if it's cancelled or not? Someone hear me!

its not going to look like that, they said quite a while ago that they thought(and i agree with them) that tanki 2.0 was becoming to realstic, and was losing what tanki was all about, it was losing its fun. what we are going to get is new graphics, but excatly the same elements, so the maps will be the same, but look different. there are also going to other things added in, like a freind system, and we are getting updates often, just check the forum. also, when you played the demo, were you blown away by what it looked like? almost certainly, i dont think though that the actual gameplay would be as good as it is know, the actual looks is amazing, but its not just about the look.

2.0 was cancelled, in the way that we have always thought of 2.0: As a completely new client, with brand new features and everything. However, most of the 2.0 features are going to be added to 1.0, like weapon rebalancing and new graphics, and, "1.0 will evolve into 2.0 in front of your eyes".

This is the most trustworthy source about 2.0 you are going to get, and it clearly states that whilst Tanki 2.0 (as a separate project which will suddenly arrive) is cancelled it states that the developers are working on changing Tanki 1.0 into 2.0 "step-by-step". We can already see this in innovations like the moderators' looking into battles, Shaft, etc. Originally 2.0 plans are being moved into 1.0. And this will happen until we have 2.0. :roll:
