Is there a chance it gets abused by players and the moderators will have to look trough thousands of complaints,

even though there has to be 50% of the players to make it valid?

I hope hackers will not actually hack the new system this way.

Nice effort, but still I think this new feature is doomed to fail. Why you may ask? Well because of 2 reasons..

Firstly, because there are 13 million players of which less than 330 thousand registered at the forum. The forum is as far as have seen the only place where people are notified of this new feature. Everyone can do the math from here...

Secondly, 50% of all players +1 must complain before action is being taken. Well, imagine yourself in a CTF game 10 vs. 10, and you have a mult on your side. This means at least 2 persons from the opposite team need to report a mult on the other team as well. Unlikely to happen if you ask me. I know I would, but seriously... based on my experience lots of people like to see a mult in the opposite team.

In addition I have one thing to add. If action is being taken against mults and such a video must be recorded as evidence. I think it's a bad thing to ban people solely based on the observation of just one admin.

This is a good feature, but it can be tweaked:

1. The vote should remain for as long as the offender remains unchecked by a moderator, and should not change if offender leaves the battle.

2. It needs to be more common knowledge or else most players won't know to use the /vote feature, it should be more directly advertised.

3. For now the 50% majority should be reduced to 25% while it is still not common knowledge.

4. Moderator should not HAVE to be on the exact server to respond, he should get a notification of offensive activities and have the ability to join the battle from that notification.

How to handle the bad guy in the same team, always push the members to fall off the cliff or block the way to the players ??

Could the creator of that match able to split him out in that moment ??

:(

this player's nickname == "papaimama2"

could you set the info about the /vote command in orange warnings in chat? (like the ones that already are here)

because i found one hacker, and probably i was the only one who knew about the command

(gefreiter rank...)

we need new players to know too.

i just saw this: "Tankmen, you can complain directly to the offender in a battle with the chat commands: /vote name_of_offender. Your complaint will be sent, and a moderator will come to the rescue!" so u listened to me (XColossus) ;) but then i got blocked. -_-

One problem, perhaps unique to Mac or my ignorance, is the inability to copy the nick requiring key by key transcription of it. Even when I moderated, I was unable to copy nicks in a match. Some nicks are so convoluted in their spelling or expansive in their numerology that it's nearly impossible to manually type those in. When I was a Mod, I banned nicks like "222224444111192391111," and, yes, they and other extended convolutions exist. I contend they make those in that way to frustrate banning and, now, this voting.

Yesterday some respected Mates and I engaged in a 50 flag Iran. We were frustrated by two mults with bizarre nicks and several Isi's that did nothing more than tour the map for crystal pick-ups. It was a furious, fun match, and it demanded constant attention to keep pace. Trying to key in nicks for vote simply assured the opposition another flag or three with limited opposition.

This update remains a great idea; it will need improvement to work to the conceived hope. I hope it gets that attention, and thanks to the Devs for this effort.

- Username of the offender can be copied from the event log of battle at the top right corner of the interface. For this, it is necessary to press the left mouse button while holding down CTRL.

i tried, but it doesn't work,we have to write it all.

The /vote is useless...

The Russians ask what exactly they have to write.

The English-speaking have never heard about the /vote...

I think you should make a 'report-button' too, it will be easier...

^This. Now that the technology for /vote is clearly possible, why not add a "report" button in the bottom left?

At least, anyway, there needs to be a pop-up letting EVERYONE know about /vote when the log in (Like there was for the football gold).

From a time-to time the chat mods (or the system) are/is posting info about that command in the chat' date=' as a 'yellow message', but it's not enough...[/quote']

yeah... yellow message 'Tankmen, you can complain directly to the offender in a battle with the chat commands: /vote name_of_offender. Your complaint will be sent, and a moderator will come to the rescue! ' but one Report button would be nice.
